A little surprised at how good this is. Nice agave and citrus flavors rounded out with mint and minerals. Definitely worth a sip.

The best out of the core line up. Aroma: raw material, herbal green notes, almond Flavor: savory notes: tobacco, green pepper, wet earth, subtle briny notes Finish: short-medium, leaves a little ethanol on my lips

May 21, 1996 is date in the bottle Nose: Wet grass, agave, vegetal, green pepper, salt and black pepper Taste: Agave, some lactic tones, minerals, and hint of black pepper. Finish: Light mouthfeel with a short finish with a nice touch of heat on the gums. Pretty solid. Been bottled for almost 30 years so giving it some time to aerate.

Aroma: raw agave, black pepper, yeasty, minerality, lactic, dry soil, vegetal. Flavor: cooked agave, yeasty/bready, citrus, tropical fruit, white pepper, minerality, floral. Texture: soft, slight oil feel Finish: short - doesn’t really leave a lot of flavor. Does not drink like 46% - minimal warmth or burn.

Amazing 1978 46 ABV. Great cooked agave, spice, licorice, a nice balance of sweetness. Not exactly like the old school but respectable . Salud

I had to circle back and try this after a year, I felt like I missed something and I was right! The agave is present on the nose.....you just gotta dig a little to find it, don’t swirl this in your glass, it’s too punchy and will overpower your senses!!! Nutty, pepper, agave, has this roasted hazelnut thing going on that I’ve never run across before. Doesn’t fade away quietly, this wants to stay up and party as long as possible.

Herradura 46 the sequel. (Not to be confused with the old school juice). Bottled August of 2017. Nose: Grass, straw, white pepper and thyme? Some agave, sweetness and spiciness. Flavor: Fruit, agave, jalapeños, and grapefruit zest. Graham cracker and crackerjack nuttiness. Bold. Slightly offputting sweetness on the finish.

Loads of grass and agave on the nose. Short and hot finish, white pepper all over.

Wow what a blast! This bottle is from 1996 and just completely blows my mind how good this is from all of or in spite of the time passed since this was distilled and bottled. Agave and alcohol combine to give a big fresh blast of mint and pepper along with green agave. The finish is amazing and protracted leaving a sweet tongue numbing vibe that goes on for minutes. Get some.

This is a very old bottle from 2001, and its 46% alcohol (92 proof). This is a very solid and sippable blanco with character. Too bad you can't buy this anymore.

US VERSION On the nose I get raw agave, a little sweetness, some lactic funk, some ethonal and a touch of citrus. The palate is really sweet. Some green agave, mint, over ripe citrus, and a hint of minerality and white pepper. It also doesn’t have a ton of alcohol burn for it being a higher proof. Personally, this bottle isn’t really suited for my taste. It’s pretty sweet and it doesn’t have a ton of depth.

Aromas de agave, minerales y grama y pimienta y cítrico en el paladar bastante similar pero no se siente como un 46 abv baja bastante suave sin quemar

Agave forward, minty, alcohol, citrus, lactic, herbal. Short finish and leaves a funny flavor on the back end. Overall, if I can’t find my regular go tos, I’d pick this up! But G4, Volans, Cascahuin, Ocho, Zumbador, Puro Potro, are above this. Bought in Texas for $46

Tasted at a bar that had the bottle out in 90+ degree heat. Good agave notes on the nose, there was a more prevalent heat to it but that could be because of the heat the bottle was subjected to as well. Good minerality and citrus notes though. Slightly creamy on the mouth feel. A much better offering than the Blanco available now.

LOT: 19235J1421 View: Fully transparent: Freshly served; Aroma: a lot of pepper, minerality, salt, a little acetone that opens up a lot, after a few minutes it's the only thing I smell. Flavor: raw agave, salty and acetone. A little sweetness. Aftertaste: slightly citrusy that fades quickly. And black pepper. It also leaves a trace of chemical taste. I let it open for 15 minutes. Aroma: raw agave, herbaceousness, salt, acetone. Taste: A sweetness that seems a little artificial to me with certain notes of aspartame. Salt, acetone. Aftertaste: Fades very quickly, citrus like orange peel and a little pepper, it stings a little on the tongue and palate.

Bumped value…just realized it was a 950ml bottle. Reminds me of Don Abraham
