Nose is pleasant, not overwhelming, tropical fruit, a little oak, cherry and mild anise as it opens Palate is similar to the nose, a little sweet, caramel and mild oak, I can taste a mild chocolate much like in the anejo Many tmm reviewers have deducted points for price. My sample was gifted to me, so I'm rating with value = average. No points deducted for cost. That being said, there are other 1146 brands that have more complexity at a better value. but, if u want an easy sipping tequila in a beautiful bottle, this could be your brand

This one along with the Reposado are my favorites of the lineup. Obviously price is very high and takes points, but I see how this focused on the luxury market and I’d gladly recommend this over sweeter expensive tequila.

Same as other expressions, aroma, taste, and finish are very light. Not offensive, just bland.

Aroma is surprisingly faint. A little caramel and maybe a bit of cinnamon but nothing distinct. Flavor is distinctly black pepper but fades pretty quickly. Pretty much one-note on the flavor. This is everything we’d expect from 1146 and Enrique. One of the best MDs around. Great flavor and mouth feel. The real question comes down to the price. It isn’t cheap, a beautiful presentation and positioned for luxury but when we can get TOL, Imperial and a few bottles of ArteNOM1146 for the same or cheaper, it makes you think.

Not much agave left in the aroma, but some still exists in the flavor. There’s a cherry aroma here, some butter and cinnamon too. Flavor is sweet and natural, overall pleasant but not complex. Again, another dry finish.

Lots of barrel aromas - deep caramel, pitted fruit, a hint of leather. Flavor is simpler. Nice sweetness and roundness in the mouth.

Good, but feels a bit muted compared to the other fantastic 1146 XAs. And that price, ooof.

On the nose I get a super sweet caramel, vanilla aroma . Very neutral tones. On the pallete, cinnamon, short finish finish with pepper, sweet agave, smooth buttery , minerality. Nice sipper . I will enjoy this bottle

Sweet aroma. Very smooth but has a weak finish. Sweet upfront flavor with a hint of smoke at the end.

Very light on the aroma, in fact hard to tell it was a tequila. Flavor is very peppery and heat forward but short lived. Finish is decent
