Smells good, tastes great! Old school flavour profile, hot alcohol with layers of roasted agave. Nice spicy finish on the end of my tongue, I graduated to a single ice cube on my second sample and it was perfect. Overall a really good Blanco, I will stock up next time I come across it.

The high pressure autoclave holds this back as this is a bit astringent intially in the mouth. Once that fades a bit some natural sweetness that was hidden behind comes out and fades to a nice mid tongue buzz.

Aroma: Fresh herbs and citrus aromas, light scent of sweet agave, and pickles. Palate: Cooked sweet agave, white pepper, earth, mineral, zested citrus flavor. Little astringent on the tongue. Finish: short, mineral, botanical.

Astringent, earthy and medicinal. Not citrus forward maybe Smoky?! I can’t really pinpoint it.

Odd that they put “slow roasted” on label when this is cooked in autoclave. Tastes/smells like it has some additives to me. Other than that - not bad. Works pretty well for margaritas but there’s also similarly priced tequilas for cocktails that are better.

Sweet, smokey, and a little bit of a caramel finish.

Agave is muted on the nose and on the palate. You get alcohol and a funk all throughout the sip. I would definitely pass. Get Zumbador, puro Potro, or hijole instead!

Aroma is citrusy herbal with green trees and minerality. It’s nice. On the palate it’s agave- olives- green grass- minerals- wet earth. Finish is peppery agave with a pepper silkiness. Last nicely- short to medium agave flavor continues.

Nose: herbal, citrus, minerally, alcohol, some cooked agave. Palate: some agave, celery, citrus, hot finish. Not bad not amazing either.

A complete surprise. Loved the aroma, taste and finish. The under $40 price and taste make this a Top 5 for mixing, but I would have no problem sipping this one either.

Nose: not very agave forward, more fruity. Taste: only the slightest hints of agave. I don’t detect much alcohol which is nice, but I’d like to taste more agave. Finish: very short but not unpleasant. Overall: $9 for a glass, so if you can find a bottle in the sub $30 range it would probably be great for mixing.

Vanilla, sugar cookie aroma. Agave forward, minimal complexity

Smells almost minty & herby. Vegetal, mint, agave, & citrus taste. No finish.

Pleasantly surprised. Mild aroma with some alcohol which leads into a naturally sweet flavor with light agave background. The finish is medium smooth and watery. A touch of pepper in the finish. A person could sip this (which I’m doing) but I think this would be a wonderful, quality mixer. Yes. More of a mixer. This isn’t Primo 1861. Always buy the 1861. Don’t be confused or deceived.

Herbaceous nose with hints of brine. Earthy profile with agave, herbs, orange rind and some mint. Definitely a change of pace but in a good way.

entry was like being on a conveyor belt riding down a hallway with no pictures on the wall. then boom, spice, earthy, pepper and heat. knocks you back and you have to re-assess. little too much heat on finish but has aspirations of DJ70.
