There’s a flick of black pepper and a bit of alcohol heat that keeps it from feeling entirely clean, but the balance between sweet and saline notes gives it some charm. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with an oily glide. The first impression is peppery and a touch bitter before agave and banana roll in. A heavy dusting of cinnamon builds, while faint floral tones try to lift the weight of it. The bitterness lingers - enough to keep things sharp. Finish: Drops off abruptly, leaving behind black pepper and a light chemical bitterness that overstays its welcome. Final Thoughts: Not something to mull over neat, but it would pull decent weight in a tropical cocktail. The banana, orange creamsicle, and oily mouthfeel would play well with citrus or pineapple - just don’t expect it to shine solo.

A bit too thin for the barrel to really take the lead, but a nice effort. Boozy back end with a long and enjoyable finish.

Nose: Caramel, vanilla, and oak come forward with a rounded sweetness, lifted by a touch of spice. Agave peeks through faintly, though quickly overshadowed by a strong wave of bell pepper. It carries an initial promise of balance between wood influence and vegetal character. Palate & Mouthfeel: The texture is thin yet slightly oily, carrying caramel, vanilla, and barrel spice in predictable fashion. Unfortunately, agave is absent here, leaving the sweetness unchecked. A cloying quality builds, edged with a bitter note that clashes rather than complements. Finish: Overly sweet and lingering with a faint leathery bitterness. The sweetness holds longer than the spice. Final Thoughts: This tequila opens with an inviting nose but for me, loses its way quickly. What could have been a balanced profile leans heavily into sweetness, with no real agave character to ground it.
