Nose is nice, sweet agave, citrus notes, zest, bright, some notes of hay/rye, light corn note, Pallet is hot, def whiskey & barrel right away, agave is kind a bit lost, cherry/cinnamon, hot tamales, this needs to open up. Finish is spice / pepper, tingles lips & tongue, solid overall Decent value at msrp, nothing to chase in my opinion
My fellow Texans from Fort Worth bring us this High Proof / Still Strength Blanco, presented at 110 proof - 55% ABV! FYI, High Proof and Still Strength aren’t synonymous, but this tequila is both. #themoreyouknow Crisp agave jumps out of the glass, along with bright celery, white pepper, dry minerals, and some light, earthy mushrooms with a slight vegetal note. The agave is ever-present on the palate. It’s green and bright, and it adds a natural sweetness. The alcohol brings intensity to the minerality and white pepper. The vegetal note is mostly fresh jalapeño, and the alcohol adds intensity to the flavors. This is a bold blanco as a sipper, and it’s a cocktail king due to its bold flavors. 92 - TTR (The Tequila Report)
