“It’s as if tequila and Grand Marnier had a baby. I started looking up what to mix with it because of this and then had to remind myself what this bottle cost. Even has the same lingering medicinal cough syrup vibe that Marnier has after the finish. Even if it was a quarter of the price I would not buy again. ”

“I completely don't get the high scores on this. It has many of my favorite notes present but they are muted by the presence of "wet dog" that is usually associated with cheap tequila. unfortunately it's not cheap as the bottle cost me almost $60. I will note that it got better on night 2 and 3 so if you purchase this stuff let it get some air.”

“This juice can't seem to find a good home. Began life under the original Casamigos folks (NOM1416) moved to Casa Noble (NOM1137) and has ended up at (NOM1122) with 1800 of all places. It's on clearance at Walmart right now for $15 under the old 1416 Casamigos NOM. It tastes exactly like Casamigos. I taste the same vanilla additives.”

“Is it good? Absolutely. Smooth? You bet. Worth a kings ransom when the reposado and anejo are 94% as good? Absolutely not. I'll take all I can get if someone else is buying.”

“Wonderful buttery finish. Price holds it back for me. I don't like to spend that much on a Blanco.”

“I go back and forth between this and the reposado. just depends on how much mood I'm in as far as barrel flavor goes. You can't go wrong with Julio's whole line up. I just wish they didn't cost so much. Once you get into this price range there are plenty of tequilas just as good.”

“A GIANT hell no! Specifically due to the BRUTALLY overwhelming use of additives. Caramel, vanilla etc that clearly is NOT a barrel note. The nose alone will give you a toothache and the palate pushes that even further and leaves you with a mouth full of medicinal cough syrup. Immediate buyers remorse after 2 sips. I counted the loss and went back to the store for something else. Your girlfriend may love it though.”

“The other 2 in the lineup are better. This anejo tastes like a coke float. Nothing offensive just overpriced and under complex.”

“Rating the old NOM. Whereas the Blanco is a vanilla pound cake with a cookies and cream bar crumbled on top, the reposado is rich caramel and baking. Both obviously use a combination of old world techniques and additives. At least it's not diffuser trash. I don't drink it now that Clooney sold the company. They clearly cut some corners on the new stuff.”

“I used to call this my favorite on its old NOM before Clooney sold it and the new NOM clearly cuts corners to live off the name and it shows. Once I broadened my tequila pallette I knew there were additives in even the old NOM but I still enjoyed the taste. Definitely would serve this to a noob to get them interested in tequila. It's enough old world. No diffuser BS here.”

“I would love to rate higher but just as with the reposado, this anejo is brutally inconsistent. One bottle will be so good you can't believe it. Maple over chocolate. You'll run to the store for another and get particle board/cereal and way too much oak and whiskey flavor.”

“This stuff is a crying shame. It's so tasty with many of my favorite notes. Does not taste cheap at all.The cheapness makes itself known the day after. It really beats you up.”

“Maybe I never got around to reviewing this because it was one of my original faves when I started my Tequila journey years ago and I just picked up some all this time later for a revisit. My palette has grown immensely over the last 10 years and it just makes me love this stuff even more. The oak takes a nice backseat to vanilla, butterscotch, baking spices and even a hint of earthy leather and black pepper. It's incredible stuff. I don't think it's a bargain though by any means.”

“Was once upon a time my favorite tequila. Now there are about 10 brands selling this exact juice from NOM1438. From Michael Jordan's stuff to Hussong to ABC's in house brand Tierra Fertil. If you buy the Los Azulejos or Jordan's stuff you are paying for the bottle. Pay 27.99 for ABC's in house brand if you want to try this stuff.”

“NOM 1426. Its good. Absolutely not disappointing but it's missing earthy vibe that the reposado has. A little on the sweet side. If you're an oak lover look elsewhere. They've changed NOMs twice since I reviewed this.”

“NOM 1416. Great stuff. Has an earthiness about it that is very nice. Not ridiculously expensive either. They've moved NOMs twice since I reviewed this.”

“Absolutely overpriced and underwhelming. Like the generic version of Don Julio but misses the mark bad. Has a stale nature about it. Bland.”

“In the grand scheme of tequila this is unremarkable. However @ $27 for a liter this stuff is a remarkable bargain sipper. I don't know what people bitching about alcohol burn are talking about. It is silky smooth. A little sweet with a mild mint note. Would be absolutely dangerous in a mixed drink.”

“After seeing the other tequilas produced by this NOM I thought I would give this bargain a shot. In all fairness it tastes pretty alright but....HOLY HANGOVER. I mean I'm as regular a tequila drinker as anyone could be but this stuff, whoooo. Chainsaw hangover.”

“I should have just paid more mind to the reviews. The whiskey on this is the dominant factor. $45 down the tube. The reposado was good but a little dull so I figured this would be right on. Nope.”

“It's good don't get me wrong! But this is one of the largest price differences I've ever seen between an anejo and the same brands reposado. $23 for the repo vs FORTY bucks for this anejo. Is it better than the repo? Not entirely. And certainly not at almost double the price.”

“This stuff is classy all around. Possibly the most easy to drink tequila I've ever had. However that comes at the cost of a little boredom. Its very mild in its complexities. I would absolutely recommend serving this to that friend who says ewww gross when you mention tequila.”

“The highest nose rating I've ever given. The smell of this stuff is amazing. Rich and creamy, like your favorite dessert is baking. The love affair is short lived as the rest is a mixed bag of "oh I like that" vs "I wish they hadn't gone there". Definitely overboard on the oak. A pinch too much whiskey from that. Cherry, almond. 3 barrels used in the aging process. I've never had anything aged in Hungarian oak. I'm betting if they ditched the American oak and just kept the French (my favorite) and Hungarian this stuff would be solid gold. Will drink again but would never purchase a bottle.”
