Origen Sagrado Blanco Silver

“A bit to bland for my taste. Vanilla, tropical fruits, citrus cooked agave and flowers on the nose. Also banana is definetely here after coming back on the nose. Pallette is minty, almost peppermint, flowers and tropical fruits. The alcohol is definetely noticeable in the taste. It's not strong or burning, but it's that phenol note which I personally don't like. It is very complex though. Citrus and vegetal notes came after a few sips for me. Finish mainly mint and phenol. If you like fruity and soft tequilas you will love this. I have heard they aren't made anymore and Cascahuin is basically the same Tequila. ”

Fortaleza Blanco (Still Strength)

“I love Tequila, I love Fortaleza! If you tell someone this is a distillery strength unaged spirit they will not believe you. Compared to the 40% Blanco the citrus isn't really as present on the nose because the soft salty butter is more present. The alcohol aroma is slightly stronger but not overpowering. Interestingly I find this to be all around rounder than the standard Fortaleza Blanco but also less striking. The higher proof gives a bit more of a punch, but the watered versions gives more room to different flavors and thus more complexity. ”

“The licorice dominates this tequila for me. And Iove it. That doesn't mean it is imbalanced, because it isn't. But the licorice defines this tequila for me. And I have found that I keep coming back for this bottle more and more. And for the price this has got to be a household item! ”

Villa Lobos Blanco

“Disclaimer: I am reviewing the 55% proof which isn't on here. Great nose. Strong salt and pepper, liquorice, vegetal aromas and faint earthy notes. A little butter The taste is powerful. Still strong salt and pepper the agave is more present here and mixes nicely with the sweet butter and the salt and pepper. The finish is long because of the high proof. A little butter and sweetness remain. Salt and a bit of pepper stay. The agave is there but not pronounced. After adding a few drops of water: I would almost say smoke,maybe it just reminds me of mezcal. So it could just be cooked agave influenced by the strong salt and pepper which is still prominent and dominant. The taste gets smoother and sweeter. Great either way. ”

Pasote Blanco

“I find this to be a very unique tequila. You can tell it's from Felipe because it is very smooth a sweet, and has great water quality for soft but distinct mineral notes. But it is very dry for a Tequila and I love it. Nose isn't too powerful. Grass, earthy notes and raw agave. Soft anis and slight mintyness in the background. The palateis lovely. Not as sweet as G4 but fairly sweet agave. The mineral notes and earthyness is also present, a little later some vegetal notes but here it is softer more enjoyable than in other tequilas because it isn't disruptive. Maybe some pepper and butter. The finish as with most Blancos is short but still carries some of the palete. Nice change to Terallta and G4. ”

“My review here is based on personal preference and I personally can not get into Reposados. The great agave flavors get lighter and the added flavors from the barbells are only nuances compared to for example longer aged scotch. In that way it's basically the worst of both worlds (to me personally). But for this price you just can't go wrong and I am excited to mix this for some high class cocktails. If you have the choice to with the Blanco. ”

Terralta Tequila Blanco

“Amazing. I live the strong natural sweetness. The earthy taste from the deepwell water is pretty obvious especially when drinking next to the G4. I like this one even a bit more than the G4. It is bolder, but softer and the sweetness makes this one a pure joy. The anis isn't really present here, which comes out a lot stronger in the finish of the G4. But you can't have everything. ”

Tequila G4 Blanco

“I absolutely fell in love with this tequila at the first sip. Super mellow and soft for a Blanco. Sweet agave, a little pineapple, nice mineral flavors are the main body for me. Tastes like rich fresh spring water poured over flowers and agave. Already one of my favorite spirits I have ever tasted. I would even prefer this to a lot of expensive and delicious Whiskys. I keep changing between this one and Fortaleza for my absolute favorite. I really like the sweetness and anis here. It is a little less complex and doesn't have the strong salt and pepper or earthyness, but it has lovely mineral notes some citrus anis and the tastiest liquorice flavour ever. The water quality and Taste is just where Felioe kicks it out of the park. So it has a little less punch and temperament as Fortaleza but makes up in a extraordinarily complementing whole. ”

Fortaleza Blanco

“Got the idea to try some more great Tquilas after I had my first great bottle 22 years ago. And thanks to the Fortaleza Blanco I am hooked. You just can't get the flowery and sweet agave flavors from other base material. Even though it could be a bit more mellow, there is only a minor alcohol burn. But the rich exemplary tequila flavors would definetely suffer from aging or other softening. Looking forward to try the reposado and anejo some time but for my next bottle I will get the Blanco again. ”
