“Fresh agave, rain water, and alcohol on the nose... OK, but subdued and not complex. On the palate is warm agave and dry oak... not sweet and lacking and "brightness" of flavors. And to follow suit... the finish is rather one dimensional, although pleasant enough to want to savor... clean with a hint of oak and black peppercorn. Decent value for the price... After it breathes a little bit, some sweetness comes through on the palate with bit of vanilla. ”

“Nose: Baked Agave, caramelized sugar, young bourbon... Palate: Rich and sweet, medium mouthfeel, strong barrel presence takes over leaving the slightest room for the agave to barely remind you it's still there. Finish: a little more presence of agave on the finish than on the palate, dry remnants of the three-year barrel aging, and a hint of burnt marshmallow. Overall, not as sweet as I anticipated and generally not complex. I would say $40 is an appropriate price point for this one.”

“Unique aroma... sweet and warm with a hint of tropical fruits. Warm flavors... caramel, baked agave, caramelized orange candy... the finish makes feel like some one is burning fragrant, ritual herbs, nearby (not cannabis, but sage or incense of some sort). Then some fresh agave comes through before it dissipates. Unique and solid stuff... *On a more recent bottle, I am getting a much sweeter taste. Almost like luxardo maraschino liqueur. Not quite as enjoyable this time. **On an even more recent bottle... this one tastes just as fresh and delicious as the first one. I must have had a bad bottle there in between these good ones.”

“Aroma: rain, agave, brandy, flowers Taste: cooked agave, light barrel, musty vegetal note (in a pleasant sort of way) Finish: hint of saccharin, slight 7 Upper kind of citrus, leaves a bit of spicy warmth and toasted agave on the soft palate, acceptable in longevity. Overall a decent reposado for the money. My go to every day budget sipper. ”
