“This is a fantastic tequila. To me, it drinks like an anejo. On the nose: cooked agave, oak, caramel, cinnamon, cherry, it’s a fruitiness to it. Taste: cooked agave, oak, baking spices, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, cherry, little bit of citrus. First taste I get agave. The barrel influence comes in. Oak on the forefront. Barrel spices with some cinnamon and cherry. A nice agave, caramel, and vanilla finish. Highly recommend this. Being tahona crushed, I would have expected a little, but the barrel had all control. ”

“This is everything you’d expect in an anejo, but this is something else. On the nose: agave, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, and baking spices. First taste, Agave on the front. Cinnamon follows with caramel, butterscotch, and vanilla. Loved the agave and cinnamon finish, and a little pepper. Wasn’t expecting that in an anejo. The entire Cambio line may be, becoming my favorite top to bottom brand. Can’t wait for an XA. My only disappointment, I was expecting a higher proof.”

“This smells wonderful. I first picked up on the agave. For me, it shined through over the everything else. The level of oak is spot on. It’s doesn’t over power anything. It has a light caramel and vanilla to it. It’s a nice compliment to the oak. Upon first taste, agave. This had an early strong alcohol taste. Little caramel and vanilla. Not much though. Surprisingly fruity. Some cherry. Cinnamon and black pepper made an appearance and it had a little citrus to it. The caramel and vanilla came through on the finish. This one surprised me with the level of pepper and citrus. Not a typical XA. This is wonderful. And the most expensive bottle I’ve ever purchased. Just under 200 USD. ”

“Very good anejo. This is a pretty sweet pour. Immediately, in the nose, picking up caramel and butterscotch. Little vanilla and yet the agave is still present. On the tongue you’ll get caramel and butterscotch with a little vanilla. The oak presence is very minimal. A light cinnamon finish. If a whiskey guy who is looking for a good tequila, I’d recommend this to him. ”

“Found this dusty bottle on the shelf of a Mexican Grocery store. Mild nose with oak, cooked agave, and a little fruit. Do get a mild alcohol on the nose. First taste is oak. Get a peppery taste, which I didn’t expect from an anejo. Light vanilla on the finish. ”

“Lot 127-R On the nose I immediately get the agave, minerality, and earthiness. A little orange peel. Some hints of citrus. Slight smokiness. There is very little oak on the nose. I don’t get much at all, and I don’t mind. Let the work of the Tahona shine through. At first taste it’s an extremely balanced levels of agave, the mineralaty from the Tahona. The light levels of oak is perfect. It balances out well with the earthiness. There is a nice citrus with a little cinnamon. I think each pour of this, you will be able to pick up something new with it. ”

“On the nose I get sweet cooked agave. A nice oak scent. Some cherry and fruitiness. First taste is agave, a nice level of oak, and a little vanilla. It has a nice buttery finish. This is a bargain banger. This is one of my everyday pours. This can be picked up for less than $45 in my area, and frankly, I’d pay more for it. If I was to introduce someone to tequila, I’d choose this for there first repo. It’s has a good balance and it’s nothing too complex. Make sure you get the NOM1414. For those questioning additives. Sergio Cruz is one of the most respected Master Distillers. You can trust anything from Sergio and 1414. ”
