Agave taste on every end…..the aroma is silent and tempts you in, lulls you into this kind of trance…..then all the complex and many flavors just wash over you. It is my number one Tequila and just such an amazing example of what a Tequila can be. Thank you Fortaleza/Los Abuelos…..I only wish it was easier to find.”

“The aroma is very different than others I’ve tried. You can smell the mineral/grass of it…the finish is very peppery and the front flavor is complex, mineral, grass, vegetal and a very different agave flavor. Good for sure, but not my top 5. The taste is complex though….so as I go through the bottle it may unravel its complexity more, we will see.”

“It’s okay, Agave…yes, Citrus…yes. Then the rest is pepper, earth, and there’s something else there kinda sweet, not floral, I just can’t put my finger on it. Overall though it’s just, Meh. Good, not great. Now with its new distribution network, I’ll be able to find it everywhere, which is good, so it will be my go to tequila when I’m in a bar or restaurant that I don’t know. I won’t replace it in my home collection though.”

“Honey on the front, like a darker small hive local honey, with hints of vanilla…ending in pepper. Only my second Repo. Blancos are my favorite but do like the sweeter, darker flavors. You can definitely taste the barrel aging.”

“Floral and Citrus on the front, the smell is very floral with that hint of alcohol. The back end is very peppery and “still strength” I love it. What separates it from others is the strong pepper/alcohol back end. It’s not a sweet and delicate drink, it’s a TEQUILA! with great agave taste. Sometimes you just need a hard drink for that hard day.”
