Not a bad XA considering the price. Lots of barrel notes on this one.
Nose: oak, caramel, vanilla, black pepper, whiskey, some cooked agave but it take a back seat to the barrel notes.
Palate: a lot of barrel notes again. Oak, vanilla, caramel, black pepper. Cooked agave takes a back seat to the barrel notes on the palate. There is also whiskey and some chocolate notes.
Not a bad XA for the price. The bottle is stellar.

Beautiful bottle with a very well executed extra añejo. It has some bite to it and some pepper notes, in my opinion always welcome given they didn’t try to hide them with additives. Great sipper and a looker for sure.

Great price for either a liter or 750ml. And pretty solid XA in a cool bottle which is uncommon.

Awesome hand painted / beautiful bottle. This XA is full bodied, a lot of wood and caramel flavors. Scored high for the value/price, you can’t beat it

Pretty neutral on the nose, nothing pulling me in and getting the blood flowing. Semi sweet, wet wood and almonds, short finish that fades into my short memory.

This XA is an excellent value in the 1.75 liter bottle. $100 @costco for essentially 2 bottles of XA tequila. The aroma is good with sweet flavors of vanilla and oak and some cooked agave. The flavor is ok and still has some agave flavor. It is sweet but not too much. The finish is the best part...really smooth but still tequila. A little bite (in a good way) going down.

Dark amber appearance.
Nose: Butterscotch and vanilla. Ripe dark berries, jammy fruit aromas, and citrus. A cider note, sharp earthiness and undercurrents of oak and cedar.
Flavor: Round butterscotch flavors with some nuttiness. Moderate pepper heat, citrus and orange peel. I expected a more opulent mouth feel.
Finish: In the finish, the “moderate” pepper heat and barrel spices build to a crescendo. As the decrescendo transitions in, there is pleasing butterscotch and anise, with hints of cedar shavings.

This XA from 1137 has the distinct Cofradia profile but nothing that really differentiates it from other product from the distillery. Good but not great.

Had at a family member’s. Kind of flat and maybe a tad artificially sweet but there was agave there too. I’ve certainly had worse and an XA under $100 you can’t complain too much.

Smooth warm aroma. A little less depth than a traditional extra anejo. Slightly pronounced alcohol finish above a normal extra anejo.
Aroma has good notes of caramel and vanilla, clean and aged taste, and a lingering bite. Overall, it's good.. just not $100 good.

Reminds me of wet grassy & nutty aroma. I don't get sweetness in the aroma.
the finish is a little harsh but very drinkable. It's pricey, beautiful bottle.
