Peppery, agave, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon/baking spices, nice barrel notes, good quality repo just a tad pricey!
Unique barrel and flavor. Very pleasing and enjoyable
Sipping side-by-side with the regular Partida reposado. It definitely has more on the aroma, more fruit and spice. In the mouth, it announces its presence strongly! More spice and pepper than the regular repo. Finishes my favorite part long and tasty!
Definitely a step above the standard Partida but also more expensive. It's a solid sipper.
The aroma is sweet with minerality, freshness, cherry, light wood, light caramel, light vanilla, light inviting ethyl and chocolate fudge. Upon tasting I am won over with notes of oak, caramel, cooked agave, whiskey, and pepperiness. It almost taste like an Anejo to me. The ethyl is present in the taste but it blends well with the other notes giving it passibility. Warm and coating mouth feel. The finish consist is fresh and grassy with cooked agave, green citrus, whiskey trails with a light peppery bite on the exit. The overall taste is exciting and gourmand, I could sip this regularly and be pleased.
tried at chris porters 10/2023 very nice, easy sipping tequila. well balanced barrel notes, vanilla, some pepper on finish.
The Roble Fino (Fine Oak) Reposado is created using the Partida La Familia Reposado which is aged for 6 months in a medium toast barrel that previously held a high corn mashbill bourbon. That tequila is then finished in Sherry Casks for an additional 2 months and bottled at 43% ABV. This double casked Reposado is unique. The nose is very aromatic and the scents jump out of the glass. The nose is sweet, fruity and spicy. The sweetness of the cooked agave and the fruitiness from the sherry casks accompany the barrel notes from both casks to give it the spiciness. Somehow the nose is simultaneously juicy and dry at the same time. There’s juicy dark fruit and dry barrel notes along with a hint of earthiness and alcohol. It’s a flavorful pour. On the front palate I get the sweet agave and earthiness. On the mid-palate I get juicy red fruit and the barrel spices. The 43% ABV / 86 proof provides a spicy and peppery finish. The nose and flavors are very well balanced and layered. There’s depth and complexity without confusion. This is a fine sipping tequila and an excellent Reposado. It should be shared neat with family and loved ones!
Heavy Agave and barrel presence .. has a sweetness probably from the Sherry casks …. Profiles like a XA but tastes like a repo
Wow this was surprising considering the original partida is very sweat to me. This one is perfect. Nice fruity flavor and aroma like plum, vanilla, oak and loads of pepper. The agave shines through on every sip. Very very good.
I’m tasting cooked agave, vanilla, maple, raisin, cherry, with a touch of oak and leather. I’m really enjoying this, and can’t wait to share it with my whiskey drinking friends!
Aroma of this fills the air once this is poured into a jarrito. Double barrel process really ramps up the flavors here. So much is going on that I'll have to come back to this several times I think just to suss it all out. Find some.
Nose: Light and fruity start with some background vanilla aromas. Dried fruit, cloves, cinnamon, and a whisper of citrus giving a round and mellow first impression. The sherry oak influence contributes a nice framework to the composite nose. Flavor: Some initial pepper bite, soon succumbs to vanilla and leather. An interesting tequila that evolves as it sits.
Strong nose of sherry, red apple, caramel, clove and cinnamon with nice mouthfeel and slight apple flavor and cinnamon red hot finish. A little hot for my personal palate, but complex and balanced.
This smells amazing. Aromas of dried fruit, baking spice, vanilla, leather, chocolate, and slight caramel. Flavor has vanilla, dried fruit, agave, raisin notes. Thick and oily mouth feel and really nice comfortable finish. Of the three versions, this is my favorite.
One f my favorite reposados the combination of the barrels in this lineup just hits me so right and the presentation behind it makes you feel like a James Bond movie. I will present this as a gift always and share it at home.
Aromas de agave, miel, caramel, vainilla, madera, canela y madera y en los aromas más o menos igual y baja bien suavecito
Sampled at Old Town Tequila Aroma & taste had Agave, pepper, vanilla, Dried fruit. I preferred the Anejo over the repo, which is unusual for me. Bought a bottle from Remedy $50 and gave it a second try. Oak, agave, dried fruit, baking spices, cinnamon. I let it rest and came back, enjoying more than my first take.

Very smooth. Slightly sweet with a long, spicy finish.
Batch 20 Oak, butterscotch , pepper, oily , briny. Spicy fruit. Balanced with some agave Not bad
Strong minerally and woody flavor maybe a bit over powered by wood flavor
The nose does not match the amazing pallet. Love this one!
