NOM 1107 | Aroma: cooked agave, white pepper, citrus, cinnamon, honey, floral, vanilla. Mouthfeel: Buttery with sufficient alcohol. Flavor: agave sweetness, lemon, white pepper, light anise, melon, herbal. Finish: Medium with the lemon and melon notes becoming more pronounced. White pepper tingle lingers. Overall impression is another nice PKGD Group offering with great price point, not crazy complex, but checks the boxes for an easy clean sipper. Good pour for parties and when you want to drink and not think.

NOM 1107 | tasted from a sample sent to me by an agave swapper! aka Matt C subtle mint anise red fruit minerality. gets better as it opens up. mild agave with a touch of bitterness on the finish. I like the nose better than taste. it's decent.

NOM 1107 | It reminds me of a less rich copy of most tequila ocho blanco estates. The agave is a bit muted and while it is very easy to drink, it also has moments where it seems kind of dull. For the price point, you really don't get too much of a better value than this. This could be a sipper but I think it will end up getting utilized more for me personally as a mixer

NOM 1107 | A well priced Blanco, great for mixing, but could easily sip. Slightly bitter, earthy notes. Shows some nice cooked agave.

NOM 1107 | Wow, I actually really like this. Very nice agave on the nose with a bit of alcohol. The palate is soft and mild but agave rich with a slight bitter but easy going finish. This really tastes well made. Got it on clearance for $15 but I’d buy it at full price. Update: As others have said, this one is not complex but man it sips easy.

NOM 1107 | Really nice nose with more mint than usual + a little lemon rind. Taste is a bit alcohol forward, but has a nice black pepper kick with sweet agave. Finish is a tad hot and short. Mouthfeel is pretty luscious. Oxygenation and moves to increase “smoothness” are apparent here, and not altogether unsuccessful. A solid option for folks trading up from Patron, Casamigos, and similar, at a very fair price.

NOM 1107 | Nose: Roasted agave up front with black pepper, wet earth, and a hint of vanilla. Palate: Matches closely with the nose. Sweet cooked agave leads into citrus, a touch of cinnamon, black pepper, and vanilla. Not complex, but well-balanced and easy to appreciate. Nice mouthfeel for the price point. Finish: Short and clean with lime peel, white pepper, and buttery agave. Fades quickly but leaves a pleasant impression. Overall: This won’t challenge your palate, but it doesn’t pretend to. What it delivers is consistency and drinkability at a decent price point (~$35). Better than most celebrity bottles by a wide margin. A solid mixer that I would sip on as well.

NOM 1107 | Free house shot at La Pina before Manuscrito tasting. Subtle fleshy agave smell with some rind. Muted agave notes up front, but the agave increases nicely toward the back where it picks up a little heat. Into a hot agave finish that sits well.

NOM 1107 | House tequila at La Pina. Smell is caramel. Flavor is butterscotch with sweet cooked agave. Bit of alcohol bite in the aftertaste. Earthy. Smooth and warming.

NOM 1107 | This is going to be a “for the price” review. Certainly a challenge not to pass all judgements through the “yeah, but it’s $30 a bottle” lens. All around it is decent. Decent nose - a bit heavy on the rubbing alcohol. Mouthfeel is rounded, not a ton of flavor, but not harsh. A little “wet rag” on the finish and syrupy. For the price…..
