Lots of vegetal and earthy notes with cinnamon pepper and anise. This one surprised me with how good it is
Cinnamon and agave on the nose. Stone fruits. Great palate. Agave, cinnamon, brown sugar. Sweetness This is an excellent tequila for the price.
Cinnamon, brown sugar, cotton candy, sweet,
Sabor LA 2025 Manuscrito Chapter 1 Minty mineral agave punch and pepper
Agave Swapper Sample from Matt C. Big aroma, hit me like a dart. A fancy vegetal dart. Nice complementary flavor, I’ll have another sip thank you, and another. Eye opening, mind numbing finish that deadens all of my other senses. What’s happening here? Gotta find a bottle!
A new brand to taste for sure. Really impressive. This is tequila.
Nose: Agave, hay, and mineral tones come through first, followed by a vegetal earthiness. Citrus adds lift, while anise and a faint grape note lend dimension. There’s a tannic edge here that hints at fermentation with fibers. Palate & Mouthfeel: Sweet agave is met with black pepper and a distinct rainwater freshness. It’s lactic, full bodied, and biting - but never harsh. That dry pull on the palate, paired with a persistent tannic grip, reinforces the fiber fermentation suspicion. Layers keep unfolding: citrus, then butter, then something almost savory. It evolves with every sip. Finish: Creamy, peppery, and sweet. The mouthfeel is rounded and persistent - flavors cling and linger with satisfying grip. Final Thoughts: Pulling this level of complexity from 42.5% ABV is no small task. It’s a standout - structured, expressive, and full of character. I’ll be hunting down a bottle the moment it lands nearby.
Great nose. The minerals in the flavor with the cooked agave is great. Long peppery finish. This is my kind of blanco!
Have to say, I tried this side by side with their high proof two separate days. My first impression was I preferred the 42 ABV over the high proof, the next day I preferred the high proof. That’s how close these two are. Well made, great nose, pepper, citrus, minerality, nice finish
Definitely enjoyed this. Lots of pepper and a long finish. This brand is going places. The high proof is even better
Tried this at Sabor y Cultura, Chicago. Definitely my style of Blanco. A lot of agave a ton of minerality. Nicely balanced pretty vegetal as well. Personally I prefer this slightly to the high proof.
Wow, really enjoyed this one. Very aromatic! Flavors bring minerals, citrus peel, and a tart note that reminds me of Siempre Vivo. Pretty good value for the quality (bought mine for $42). Good stuff.
Re Tasted at Agave Brothers Battle of the Blancos 2026 And up dated my rating
Very impressed with a sample I received, and anxious to get a bottle and have a few more pours. Lot 1 @ 42.5% ABV. Aromas of cooked agave, green bell pepper, black pepper, and a very slight funkiness that I like. Buttery mouthfeel, great cooked agave, and some cinnamon on the finish (wow!).
This blanco is wonderful and reminds of Fuenteseca, with is one of favorite blancos. My rating reflects a slight bump on affordability. Nose: Natural and unmanipulated. Full presence of agave, lovely minerality, slight lime citrus, and white pepper. There is a flinty, almost a wet stone-esque quality. Ever so slight hints cinnamon, Jalapeño pepper, and a floral sweetness. Taste: Perfect. Medium mouthfeel. Spicy blackpepper heat and a light brine. The agave and minerality really shine. The mid palate brings out the floral, cinnamon, and citrus notes. Not overly complex, but perfect in each of its facets. Finish: Extremely long luxurious mouthfeel of agave, pepper, and hints of citrus.
Mild sweet agave aroma. Strong agave and mineral flavors. Smooth pepper finish.
Nose lemon grass, minerality, citrus, cooked agave Taste. Minerality/ wet cement. Cooked agave. Citrus. Clove. Finish. Nice medium finish with some black pepper and sea salt. Need a big more time but might be a new fav. At least top 10 Second bottling I think.
Aroma: From the start, Sweet Cooked Agave and Citrus run from the gates! This long cooking process allows for the Cinnamon and Baking Spices to shine! There is a ton of Minerality, too! Along with this minerality, there is a good bit of Earthiness. A field of freshly cut Grass is accompanied by a refreshing amount of Spearmint. A touch of Brine is present. And this is finished by a Tropical Fruit blast. Taste: The Sweet Cooked Agave works in tandem with the Spicy notes of Cinnamon and Black Pepper. The Citrus aroma is tasted as a Lime note. The touches of Minerality and Earth are noticeable as well. A balance of Grassy flavors is blended with a nice Herbalness. A smidget of Spearmint pops itself in for more green pops. A small amount of Brine is taken in. And finally Light Tropical Fruits of Guava and Papaya stand out as this comes to an end. Finish: The Sweet Cooked Agave takes a long ride with all the flavors mixing and churning the entire time. Manuscrito is a brand that should be on your shelves! Having the additional ABV really allows Chapter One to shine! With this being so tasty, my expectations for Chapter Two's review next week will be high!!! TMM--90 Salud!!!
The natural flavors of clean well aged agave plant processed as it should be make this tequila a must have, simply delicious in every aspect!
Agave swappers sample Nose: cooked agave, fresh rain, earth, light smoke Taste: cooked agave, cinnamon, black pepper, minerality, green pepper Finish: cinnamon, peppery, mineral water
Another incredible tequila out of NOM 1643. Get it if you can, and thank me later!
Amazing profile! Has notes similar to what I find in Fortaleza and Cascahuin. Aroma: Cooked agave, petrichor, green herbs, faint mint Taste: cooked agave, brown sugar, pepper, cinnamon, minerality, light citrus note like orange or grapefruit. Finish: That creamy cooked agave sticks around on the taste buds for a while. Value: for $50, that is fantastic.
Very enjoyable! Great price no brainer!
Just tried this Chapter I thanks to Agave Swappers. Outstanding tequila with a creamy texture, spicy notes, a touch of Cinnamon and sweet cooked Agave. I can't wait to buy a bottle now.

Bottle: Page No. L750MTB20001 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked and raw agave, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, yeast/dough, lactic, herbal, spearmint, anise, lemongrass, wet earth, minerality, wet cement, limestone, black tea, pine, white and pink pepper, and green apple…intense and familiar Palate: Cooked and raw agave, minerality, wet cement, limestone, lactic, yeast/dough, toasted bread, wet and dry earth, citrus, Ponderosa lemon, pine, cedar, black pepper, alcohol, herbal, lemongrass, anise, and sage…keeps the intensity and increases the earthiness Finish: Cinnamon, minerality, lemon, black pepper, and alcohol…a fitting end, with medium viscosity and medium to long duration Overall: This is a standout blanco. The flavors and aromas punch like a much higher proof spirit, which is impressive given the standard alcohol content. It’s funky in a way that reminds me of many other tequilas I’ve had previously, while still maintaining a distinctness that is all its own. All together, these are very difficult things to accomplish for a new brand right out of the gate. I very much look forward to trying the remainder of the lineup.
