“Nose: cooked agave, mint, vegetal, ripe banana Taste: cooked agave, mineral, ripe banana, vegetal Finish: the banana lingers, along with some peppermint Overall: This is a really great tequila, especially for the price. It has notes that remind me of the Valley Blanco, but also has some distinct fruity notes.”

El Tesoro Tequila Platinum
“Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: cooked agave, fruitiness, minerals Taste: cooked agave, melon, black pepper, oily mouth feel Finish: Very soft with a hint of fruitiness and black pepper Overall: This is a really nice tequila and it's pretty notably different from any of the "newer" El Tesoro bottles I've had. I put newer in quotes because I'm consistently finding bottles from 2018ish.”

Brahman Mex Blanco Artesanal
“Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: sweet cooked agave, fruit, baking spice Taste: sweet cooked agave, fruity, floral, black pepper Finish: the finish is short and clean with some fruity and peppery notes”
More info →“Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: very vegetal and fresh, tropical fruit (pineapple and mango?), cooked agave Taste: sweet cooked agave, black pepper, some of the fruitiness from the nose, less vegetal but it's still there Finish: the vegetal and fruity notes come back on the finish followed by black pepper and some mint Overall: It's a very interesting tequila and I like the flavor of this one more than the Valles Fuerte. I typically lean towards a sweeter and less vegetal tequila, so I rated this a little lower than it probably deserves. If you want a tequila that is different than anything you've had, this is a great one. Don't let my review scare you away from this one, it just doesn't fit my palate. If I ever see it on the shelves in MN, I'll definitely buy it to see if it grows on me over time.”

Nose: cooked agave, jalapeño, black pepper, vegetal, a hint of smoke Taste: creamy mouth feel with tons of agave, very spicy with a prominent jalapeño note, and a bit of cinnamon or cloves Finish: the spiciness lingers and it faces into a more classic cinnamon and peppery finish.”

House of Rare Founder's Cut Blanco
“Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: cooked and raw agave, very vegetal, some mint, black pepper, ethanol, eucalyptus Taste: A lot of mint and vegetal right up front then fading into a black pepper and peppermint. I don't pick up much sweetness or cooked agave, maybe more of a raw agave taste. Finish: The eucalyptus and peppermint lingers on the finish, along with some ethanol notes”

Lost Lore Valley Blanco
“Nose: Cooked agave and tons of minerality. A great example of the quintessential 1414 aroma. Taste: Follows the aroma with a really nice creamy sweetness. Finish: Really nice, clean finish with some black pepper and heat coming through, but very elegantly with the creamy sweetness lingering throughout. I just opened the bottle so I plan on updating my notes once I can pinpoint some of the notes I'm picking up. Overall this is a really great blanco and the price was right for a fantastic high proof offering.”
