Agave Matchmaker Review (Lost Lore Valley Blanco) Lost Lore Valley Blanco showcases the bold, earthy character that Valley agave is known for. On the nose I get cooked agave, black pepper, citrus peel, and a distinct mineral note with a touch of fresh herbs. The palate opens with roasted agave followed by lime zest, cracked pepper, and a subtle salinity that adds depth and structure. There’s a light herbal note that brings complexity while still keeping the agave front and center. The mouthfeel is clean and balanced, and the finish lingers with pepper, minerals, and bright agave sweetness. A well-made Valley expression that really highlights the character of the region.
Flavor bomb! Incredible blanco!
Lost Lore valley Sample from john welch Nose: sweet agave citrus vegetal mild black pepper Palate: sweet cooked agave some minerality pepper Finish: nice warm and sweet lingering finish need to try this blind against the LL high proof and still blancos
Nose: Cooked agave and tons of minerality. A great example of the quintessential 1414 aroma. Taste: Follows the aroma with a really nice creamy sweetness. Finish: Really nice, clean finish with some black pepper and heat coming through, but very elegantly with the creamy sweetness lingering throughout. I just opened the bottle so I plan on updating my notes once I can pinpoint some of the notes I'm picking up. Overall this is a really great blanco and the price was right for a fantastic high proof offering.
Nose. Agave cooked, minerality. Lime zest Taste. Cooked agave big time. Minerality comes through with a bit of sea salt and citrus. Finish. Creamy mouthfeel with nice lingering pepper notes. This one’s danger
Valley Blanco Distillery Name & NOM: Feliciano Vivanco and Associates, NOM 1414 Master Distiller: Cesar Vivanco Region: Lowland (Los Valles) Agave Source/Harvest Location: Valley agave, Jalisco, Mexico Bottle Presentation & Label Art: The label is a showpiece. Rendered in rich gold foil and deep green on a cream background, the vintage etching style calls to mind recovered manuscripts and heirloom documents. A beautifully detailed blue agave plant anchors the center of the label, surrounded by landscape scenery. A bold ribbon reading “Crafted with Valley Agave” makes provenance the headline. The handwritten edition and bottle number (2025 342) delivers a limited-release feel. This bottle holds space on a shelf beautifully. Color Intensity: Crystal clear Viscosity: Notably oily for a blanco, earning a 7/10. The legs tell you something different is happening here before you ever take a sip. Nose: An incredible punch of agave wrapped in citrus and minerality. Clean, expressive, and generous. Could nose this one all day. Palate: Delivers exactly what the nose promises. Intense agave forward with the citrus resolving to bright lime and the clean minerality of valley agave shining through. The high proof is present but well integrated, making this a phenomenally drinkable high proof expression. Finish: The high proof extends the finish beautifully, with the valley agave minerality lingering. Long, clean, and satisfying. Bang for the Buck: A little on the higher side for a blanco, but when you understand the intention and process behind this unique release, it feels not only reasonable but worth it. Stocking up on a few more bottles is the right call, and here is hoping Arturo and Cesar return to this concept again.
Bottle #1607 2025. Great addition to the lineup! Loads of agave on the nose. Up front and in your face agave on the taste with pepper, lime, and some green pepper. Vegetal as well with a nice mineral finish that hangs around.
On the Nose right away I get cooked agave with minerality a little citrus. On the palate right away I'm enjoying a flavor explosion of cooked agave, Minerality, a little pepper with citrus and a little mint on the backend. Oily viscosity which help the flavors stick around for awhile. The fact it is a higher proof just highlights the flavors even more.

Nose: Classic 1414 nose but with more minerality, cooked agave, slight malo, white sugar, mint, vegital Pallet: Cooked agave, minerality, white sugar, vegital, mint, Overall: It’s a great mixup to the pure 1414 flavor you can get in their regular blanco. The minerality and mint bring in a nice contrast to the flavor! A little more than I wanted to pay at $85 but it’s tasty!
