Nose: agave / lactic funky/ hint of melon / hint of grapefruit/ spearmint/ tea / nutmeg/ tobacco/ musty / Taste: agave cooked / vanilla/ oak / cinnamon/ caramel/ banana/ melon / lemongrass / tea / spearmint Finish: very light watery mouthfeel/ lingering bitterness and some sweetness/ lactic funky is there for the whole journey/ lactic not overwhelming in anyway, but its there reminding you that you’re not alone…it’s like a very weak bleu cheese asking you to cuddle longer than you have patience for. This reposado may be a good mixer, but the lactic funkiness and the odd tastes, lack of balance, make those tough to choose as a sipper. Overall it had merit, just needs a lot of refinement.

This is a pretty good reposado that is enjoyable to sip. Not complex at all but does have a lot of different subtleties on the nose and palate. A kind of middle of the road reposado. Nose: cooked agave, black pepper, vanilla, caramel, oak, cinnamon, vegetal, some citrus, grass, and minerals. Palate: cooked agave, black pepper, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, oak, herbal, vegetal, and minerals. This is a solid middle of the road reposado with lots of different little subtleties and nuances to it. The finish is short and leaves me wanting a little more.

Nose: Sweet cider agave with a nice touch of oak and vanilla. Flavor: Creamy caramel agave with soft vanilla and oak. The oak settles into the finish well. Fairly sweet. Good mouth feel. Fruity notes, especially pear come through. This is a solid repo with simple but nice flavors. The full creamy mouth feel is a standout. Value is not the best but far from the worst too

Aroma/Taste: I detect cherry and a subtle earthy scent, followed by hints of citrus, including lime and grapefruit, alongside the sweetness of yellow corn and a touch of cola. As it opens, the aroma evolves into notes of vanilla bean and ripe banana, a delightful sweetness. Finish: The finish is short yet satisfying, offering a dry sensation with hints of almond, herbal undertones reminiscent of asparagus, a gentle kick of white pepper spice, and a subtle essence of black tea. It leaves a pleasant sensation as it goes down. Overall: This reposado is a reliable choice, boasting a straightforward character. The kiss of oak barrel aging lends a softness to the spice, resulting in a highly approachable and drinkable experience. While "smooth" may be a contentious term in the additive-free realm, this tequila undeniably offers a velvety softness that makes it a pleasure to savor.
