At a cost of about $15 (on sale) to $20 for a 750ml bottle, Hacienda Vieja Tequila Reposado seems like a great value for the money.
The aroma presents with some agave, some brine, and some alcohol. A bit of an odd sensation was that I could almost smell warmth /heat coming from the top of the glass. The taste had a touch of pepper and some vegetableness, and nuttiness. It finished mildly and watery. There was some residual chest burn but it was not overpowering. I only paid 23 dollars for this so it’s hard to be harsh. Not complex but also better than many other options that cost significantly more.
