“Oh yeah , the good stuff ! , from back in the day . Just cracked open a bottle I was saving for ? It was in the gift box with a stainless mini marg shaker ! There was some loss, as angels couldn’t wait as long as I did ! Cork was just about gone . So … great timing . They don’t make stuff like this anymore, that’s for sure , regardless of name and price . It was definitely better juice back then . ”

“Awe man c’mon Dwayne … I had high hopes for this brand based on your cred, the labeling & web site claims . They have their own new distillery after all and do everything right . Even the price is good . BUT the tequila just doesn’t measure up , unfortunately. Not sure why unless they’re messing with additives . It’s not bad , by any means, just OK . Celebrity or not , why go thru all the effort when the aromas & taste don’t come close to the hype or claims ? There’s some smooth minor spice s , very little agave ( it’s important if you’re tequila ) some kinda of mellow , worn out oak . Some Carmel or butterscotch like flavors . Bummed & disappointed. ”

“NOM 1647 short squat bottle . Only bought cuz local blow out price and seemed to have potential based on labeling & write up claims . Was a bit harsh , some pear, mint, a lot of weird alcohol & some long lingering chemical medicinal tastes . Just ok for mixer , def not a sipper . Sorry folks , maybe new NOM is better ? ”

“I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of aroma and taste from this “ premium “ Jose Cuervo product . The bottle, labeling, packing are outstanding also . Getting it for a steal locally, $50 !!! Aroma of agave , smoke spice & oaks . Taste is of the same with a long , satisfying finish . It definitely tastes good & a bit different than other reposados . Salad ! ”

“Was looking for an acceptable anejo at a low price and loved Sauza’s Black Barrel Anejo , so thought I’d try this . It’s Just ok , drinkable , hey it’s only $28 bottle . Not much aroma , a little aged barrel notes , some agave . Think I’ll stick with their black barrel anejo as it’s much better , imho . ”

“I got to try all 3 expressions at my restaurant and the blanco & reposado were better than just ok . But the anejo, at least this bottle, crashed the success as it obviously had additives, way too much vanilla & caramel for natural aging , imho. And no barrel notes from anything . Bummer !”

“Mine is same bottle & label but different series . It’s the 4 year one by Sergio , bottle 49 of 100, La Poblada, cask 090, March 2014-2018, 41% . Very nice XA ! Easily one of the best XA s out there . Agave still very forward plus all the other wonderful flavors of xtra aging ! So yummy ! ”

“NOM 1079 , 38%, Lote 21 , Frosted “frig” bottle with marbete tax stamp 2012 . Wow ! Old school real tequila ! Wonderfully thick, oily, briny, fresh agave, citrus, long pepper . They sure don’t make it like this anymore . Opened and savoring this gem because you can’t take it with you , so why collect dust and stare . Drink up ! Salud mes amigos ! ”
