“Aroma: Opens with a vibrant wave of roasted agave and warm earth, underscored by fresh green herbal tones. As it settles, layers of vanilla, toasted oak, and a subtle caramel sweetness emerge, lifted by a faint minerality that hints at G4’s natural water source. There’s also a soft dried fruit note that comes from the sherry cask with mild baking spices. Flavor: Silky and well structured on the palate. Sweet cooked agave takes center stage with a nice peppery kick. The oak is noticeable but never too much. It brings some vanilla, toasted nuts, light butterscotch, and a little cinnamon. The sweetness is balanced out nicely with that same clean minerality from the nose. Everything feels really well put together and balanced. Finish: Long, clean, and satisfying. The pepper fades into warming agave and soft spice, with a touch of dried fruit reappearing at the end. There’s a gentle earthiness throughout that brings it all back to that G4 we know. ”

Chamucos Diablo Blanco

“Love the blue cheese funk. It’s definitely real. You can smell the pungent notes from the other side of the table. High ABV is nicely balanced, more inviting than other high proofs. Creamy with a viscous mouthful. At $55 this is fantastic, but you have to be into it. I couldn’t drink it all the time. ”

Wild Common Tequila Añejo

“Nose: fairly strong aroma as your nose approaches the glass, and it gets bolder as you immerse yourself with an inhale. Barrel and oak is center stage for sure, followed with cooked agave, fruity minerality, butterscotch, caramel, cinnamon, and a light sweetness. Palate: an absolute blast of flavors starting off with those baking spices and oak, that again, are balanced just beautifully not to take away from its intended goal. It’s rich, dense, and viscous. Through the sip I get some cooked apples, caramel, some dark fruits like cherry, cooked agave and black pepper. The 47% ABV was an intuitively genius decision that pronounces itself with confidence, and compliments what could not have been had it been a standard 40% release. Finish: my god, the finish definitely helps push this into the 91+ rating. IMO, it’s rare to find a tequila that just keeps going with a purpose, rather than letting up, keeps bursting strong flavors of honey, more fruit, and faint vanilla. It’s warm, tingly, hugs your tongue with its thickness, and just hooks you for another sip after breathing out the last bit through the nostrils.”
