A 2 Year Añejo from 2011 Nose: Ripe dark fruit, dry minerals, a mystery herbal note, cinnamon and vanilla. There is an undercurrent of warm, round oak and barrel notes throughout. Flavor: Vanilla, black pepper, butterscotch, cinnamon and cloves, a bit of oak tannins, with a mere hint of bitterness. It zings, then harmonizes.

A 2 year añejo this NOM 1146 product does not disappoint with oak, barrel spice and some creamy agave. Great stuff.

Aroma: Chocolate, Butterscotch, Caramel, Cinnamon, Baking Spices, Olive Brine/funk, hint of anise and sweet agave Flavor: Sweet Agave, Olive Brine, Caramel, Cinnamon, Baking Spices, hint of Clove, dried orchard fruit, oak and dried leather This is fantastic expression from NOM1146 and very reminiscent of Don Fulano and Artenom 1146. Light brine aroma with a touch of funk rounds out the 1146 flavor profile that is omnipresent in the Enrique Fonseca empire. If you love Don Fulano, Cimmaron or Artenom 1146 you’ll love this!

This is a delicious Anejo. The aroma is excellent- starts out with oaky- pepper- vanilla- cinnamon and caramel. On the palate it’s velvety with light pepper- caramel- vanilla- barrel notes that are delicious- I love French Oak. The finish is pretty quick with light agave and oaky barrel notes. This is an incredible sipper for the price.

Mexican 35% abv. shorter neck than photo on TMM version, black plastic twist cap with fun stopper, 735ml., LOT 30PA2, bottled on 010502, tasted on 9-10-24. Color: dark yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, natural agave fibers, hint of acidity, light citrus, cooked apples and pears with a hint of cinnamon, quite impressive aromas for its 35% abv.! Palate: confirms aromas perceived, warm cooked fruits, very well balanced. Finish is medium, light sweet cooked agave, cooked apples and pears, hint of cinnamon with citrus notes persist.

Aromas of vanilla, oak, cinnamon, agave & plum. Flavors of cinnamon, oak, agave, caramel & clove w/ oak & slight pepper in the finish. Very nice añejo for $55 @ OTT.

Very sweet aromas of vanilla and butterscotch. Similar flavors with some pepper and minerality along with heat at the end after your first sip, but each sip there after gets softer. Highly recommend for the price point but you could also upgrade to Artenom 1146 for $20-$30 more.

This is legit añejo. It’s balanced, one trademark of a legit brand. I get the agave but wish it gave more. This is an añejo of course and that’s almost always the case with an añejo. The oak, butterscotch cinnamon caramel vanilla is all incredibly balanced.

very light and easy to sip on

Same bottle as the fuerte. Delicious.

The nose has vanilla and agave with a light cinnamon. The flavor has more oak and vanilla sweetness with agave/cinnamon background. The finish is smooth bringing back the light cinnamon and some black pepper. This is excellent from start to finish. A relaxing sipper that could disappear quickly.

1L bottle just like the Fuerte (not like the one show in the picture). Nose: cooked agave, caramel, light oak, vanilla. Palate: rich cooked agave up front, lots of sweet butterscotch, vanilla and caramel. Perfect amount of oak as it still allows the agave to shine. A delicious sipper with a great mouthfeel at a bargain price of $32. Everything I didn’t like in the Fuerte is gone in this anejo. This is very similar to the Sangre Alteña anejo, but with a tad more heat and more agave coming through.

Cooked agave, pepper, vanilla and solvent on the nose with some oak. Agave, pepper, subtle oak, some vanilla in taste. Hot finish with some lingering pepper.
