Calle 23 Criollo
“The Calle 23 Criollo lives up to the hype! Aroma is heavy with mint and citrus. Flavor also has citrus and grassy agave with lactic notes. I only had a 2 oz pour but would definitely go for a bottle if they were still available. ”

Volans Añejo
“Volans Añejo is spectacular! The color looks like an extra añejo. The nose is filled with agave and caramel. Flavors are packed with vanilla, butterscotch, and spices. Its viscosity lingers and at 42% abv, it leaves a little bit of heat that is pleasant and not overbearing. While MSRP is anywhere between $100-$150, I would’ve rated it higher if it was more widely available (2700 bottles made). Do not hesitate to buy a pour or a bottle! ”

Volans Extra Añejo (6 Year)
“This is a phenomenal tequila. One of the best noses I’ve ever experienced. Vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon; sweet but subtle! For flavor, you get much from the same aromas with some slight heat. It doesn’t linger long on your palette which makes you want to drink more. At $500-$600 a bottle it’s pricey but I highly recommend a glass if you have an opportunity to try! ”

Purasangre Añejo
“Very sweet aromas of vanilla and butterscotch. Similar flavors with some pepper and minerality along with heat at the end after your first sip, but each sip there after gets softer. Highly recommend for the price point but you could also upgrade to Artenom 1146 for $20-$30 more. ”
