Nose: Bright cooked agave leads, citrus and orange peel add freshness, with subtle herbal tones. Palate: Cooked agave remains front and center, but the citrus and orange peel carry a major presence on the palate. Then I noted black pepper, honey, some vegetal and mineral tones. Finish: Thin and short in length. The flavor is more citrus-heavy and not that complex on the palate.

Lote 371 T/V. Just awesome! Pretty light nose with agave, honey and light ethanol. Very rich and delicious taste that is agave forward with light honey and minerals with some citrus and a finish that makes you want more. Very well done.

Nose: The aroma opens with a vibrant mix of raw and cooked agave, layered with caramel and wildflower honey. Notes of white pepper and cinnamon add a gentle spice, while hints of banana and a touch of minerality bring layers of depth and complexity. Palate & Mouthfeel: It coats the mouth beautifully, it’s lush and silky. The agave character shines alongside rich baking spices, honey, vanilla, and a kick of white pepper. Finish: The heat builds slowly and gently, evolving into a sweet, tingling warmth that stays with you for a long time. The balance of spice and sweetness in the aftertaste leaves a lasting impression without ever feeling overpowering. Final Thoughts: This tequila is truly decadent. It’s mellow yet complex, hitting all the right notes across aroma, flavor, and feel. While the high price point affects its value score, in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it.

I love this bottle, as it checks every box for me. As prices have risen, especially on aged tequilas, I only deducted points on value, as this is at a higher price point. As for the liquid, nose and taste are all cooked agave, minerals, baking spices, namely cinnamon, a hint of honey and citrus. This is warm and inviting and an excellent sipper, especially in the cooler months. If you are fortunate to see this bottle, buy it. I found my most recent one at Liquor King while on business in Fort Worth.

Beautiful nose of agave, fruitiness, vanilla, licorice and honey. The taste is sweet on the tongue with agave and barrel notes. There is black pepper and it is fruity with a touch of honey. A touch of alcohol on the finish. Nice viscosity.

Nose: agave (more raw than cooked) / floral/ pepper / caramel/ banana/ orange peel / grapefruit/ orange blossom/ tobacco/ honey Taste: sweet cooked agave / vanilla / caramel/ pepper / green apple / citrus / lemongrass / mint / nutmeg/ butterscotch/ cream soda Finish: slightly viscous mouthfeel that holds the sweetness and moves the peppery notes through quickly giving a lingering cream soda and banana aftertaste This joven carries such a complex set of nose snd taste notes it’s challenging to find some central harmony to everything though the sweet, vanilla, and fruitiness come together at the end to give a fresh finish. Minutes later you can still taste that finish. It’s a delicate thunderstorm.

I had this at a tasting event. An interesting joven that was surprisingly sweet. Perhaps slightly overly sweet for my preference. Nose: cooked agave, barrel spice, honey, herbal. Palate: cooked agave, black pepper, citrus, minerals, lime, mint. An easy sipping joven with a fantastic nose but surprisingly sweet. May not be for everyone.

Soft, inviting aroma with notes cooked agave, honey, minerals, and citrus. Palate is wonderful, more cooked agave/citrus with notes of caramel and butterscotch present from the blend of French and American oak used in the aging process. Really wonderful finish to be found here as well, waves of flavor develop long after your initial sip, that really leaves you wanting more. Rather oak heavy for a Joven, and a bit pricey, but worth the endeavor.

* Would rate higher than 90 if I included value* To me the aroma is prominently minerality and smoke. Subtle nuances of honey and caramel emerge, with an absence of discernible ethyl notes while noticing underlying earthiness, a hint of grassiness, and freshness. With tasting there is a complex array of flavors. The dominant notes include cooked agave, essence of zesty lime citrus, persistent minerality, subtle smoke, and a nuanced reminiscence of cherry-coke cream soda. Brown sugar imparts a subtle sweetness, while a brief yet swiftly departing pepperiness adds a pleasant element to the overall taste. In the finish, is a delicate interplay of soft smoke and lingering agave. Subtle grassiness and minerality persist, with a very faint presence of brine. Notably, the minerality continues to resonate on the tongue long after sipping, leaving a lasting imprint to savor. Enjoyable and multifaceted.

Aroma of really nice scent of cooked and raw agave, perfect, not too faint and not too overpowering. Additionally hints of leather, cedar, menthol and mineral. Flavor of a nice balanced agave bomb, caramel, light brown sugar, and a really pleasant finish. Have tssted Jovens and made my own (who doesn't make their own single glass blends, right?) but this is a well balanced and blended marriage of the Blanco and Repo. Price was high, yes but I'd pay it again for this one, minimal points deducted for price. I know I'm rating higher than most but some personal preference overshadows impartiality on this one. Great sipper, your finisher for the night.

Bottle: Batch 10/13/12, LOTE 371, 030423 Appearance: Dark hay Nose: Cooked agave, honey, cinnamon, toasted oak, baking spice, butter, minerality, wet cement, vanilla, flowers, green apple, citrus, lemon, herbal, lemongrass, eucalyptus, caramel, dry earth, black pepper, and cedar…light and fresh, but complex and developing Palate: Cooked agave, honey, blackberry, butter, toasted oak, cinnamon, brown sugar, molasses, barrel spice, minerality, wet grass, citrus, lime, ruby red grapefruit, olive, brine/salinity, orange peel, flowers, black pepper, and anise…a wonderfully balanced barrel influence Finish: Cinnamon, brown sugar, blackberry, and honey…medium-long, and great mouthfeel Overall: This is really impressive, and I can’t think of another tequila I’ve tried that has had such a blackberry-forward presence. The barrel notes aren’t overwhelming, but rather complements/augments the familiar Cascahuin elements superbly. I may have to splurge for another bottle.

Great aroma. Peppery, floral, minty flavor. A little heat for 41% abv. High price point for a joven that's a repo aged 2 mo with a blanco. Tasting event with David Suro (Great)!

Lovely aroma is very agave-forward. It pulls me in to taste it. The taste is agave, spicy, peppery, very fresh. The finish had slight heat, but I think it will mellow with more time. Honored to hear David Suro tell the story of the making of this anniversary expression, as I sip it!

Siembra Valles Joven – 92/100 Nose The nose opens with mineral notes, agave sweetness, and a clear fermented character. It still shows that traditional Siembra Valles profile with good agave presence and depth. Taste The palate brings cinnamon, pepper, and a stronger barrel influence than the Reposado. Some agave sweetness remains, but the barrel starts to move forward and takes more of the spotlight than I expected. Finish The finish carries pepper and fermentation with some drying tannins from the barrel. While still enjoyable, this loses some of the agave-forward character that made the Blanco and Reposado stand out so much for me. Overall Siembra Valles Joven is still a very well-made tequila with minerality, fermentation, spice, and remaining agave sweetness. However, compared to the Blanco and Reposado, the barrel influence is stronger and slightly pulls it away from the agave-forward profile I usually prefer. It’s an excellent pour, but for my palate, it does not quite reach the same level as the brighter, more agave-driven Siembra Valles expressions. Score: 92/100
