This is an amazing Blanco!
2024 Sib barrel 8. Basil Hayden American oak barrel #1 char. After sitting on this bottle and doing some research I found the cooperage used a new proprietary cold smoking process that infused hickory smoke to the barrel without using any flame, or smoking material. Nose is beautiful. Oak, cinnamon, roasted agave, vanilla. Very nice feel, buttery Flavor is great! Carmel and sweet cooked agave, I get hints of bourbon and barrel spice too, cacao at the end. Finish as awesome, complex, warm with cinnamon notes that fade into sweetness.
BLIND RATED Aroma: 23/25 Vanilla, oak, sweet lemon peel, thick density Palate: 28/30 Dark barrel notes, vanilla, medium density Finish: 22/25 Medium length. Good flavor. A hint of soap on the very backend Value: 8/10 Unknown - will update once blind pour is made known $80 in San Francisco
2 ounce pour $88 in Littleton Co. great nose 1579 mineral and cooked Agave. Great barrel notes and barrel spice. Taste little stronger on the barrel than I expected based on the nose but great cook Agave an amazing flavor and a great finish!
