I like this. Nice nose with a malolactic funk, hint of mint and citrus. Easy sipper, nice agave sweetness, some hay/barnyard notes with black pepper. Clean finish, not much burn

This one is very interesting. On the nose the first thing I got was a smell of chocolate like dark chocolate and then from there I get a citrus and a minty smell. Taste nice citrus cinnamon agave and a little floral and also a little buttery with a nice mouth feel The finish it’s great too I get some grapefruit and it is long lasting This is a good one

Vessel: Chisholm Trail Jarrito Nose: Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Agave, Mint, Anise Palate: Lime, Pepper, Minerality Finish: Grapefruit, Black Pepper, Agave La Pulga really knows how to highlight the citrus notes. Lemon and Lime were the dominant citrus notes of the nose, more on the lime side for the palate. The finish was a full-fledged grapefruit bomb. Long lasting finish. This was a remarkably unique spirit, and I'm excited to try it in fancy citrus cocktails or a ranch water. That said, it is also perfectly suitable to sip on like I'm doing now.

The nose isn’t my favorite type of nose as it is very earthy, vegetal with agave and cinnamon. The palate is much better. Nice and sweet agave with cinnamon and citrus. I do get the earthiness and minerality.

Aroma: lemon/lime/grapefruit with a little grilled meat. Memorable and lovely Taste: citrus, a bit vegetal, with floral notes. Mid-weight viscosity Finish: moderately long. Starts off a bit weird, but actually improves over time. Fair price at $49

Nose: Briny earth, a hint of cleaning products but in a weirdly good way. Very savory. (On further reflection the note I smell here is the flavor of glue on an envelope when you wet it or the note you get on old postage stamps you’d lick. I know it’s weird but that’s exactly what it reminds me of). After being open for a week that envelope glue/cleaning product note has very clearly turned/oxidized into a a VERY PRONOUNCED EPAZOTE note. Huge Epazote aromas. Overall the nose really Reminds me of Socorro Blanco but including a berry note (somewhere in between raspberry and strawberry). It’s a delicious nose. Palate: Sweet plastic, vanilla frosting but not in an artificial way at all. Some briny funk, tight cooked agave. Tastes more like roasted succulent in terms of the cooked agave than that tomatoey orange citrus plastic note you often get. I dig this a lot. Some slight woody peppercorn notes on the finish. Finish: slight, short, mostly the heat of the spirit along with a ghostly version of the salty Britney succulent note. Overall: I love this stuff. I took points off for the cleaning product thing on the nose and how short the finish is but otherwise this is a great tequila. Shows up excellently in a margarita or Paloma and is good enough to just sip in my book. Years ago I had the reposado when I wasn’t that into tequila and I didn’t think it was very good. But the base spirit here is quite nice to me now.

Nose: Cocoa like chocolate licorice, spice Great mouth feel, oily , pepper, brine . Nice cooked agave sweetness . Short to mid finish length. Very smart blend. No after taste. If you are looking for a blanco blend that won’t throw ya into any off corner this is it. The blend is right down the middle like a 90mph fastball. Really nice. Sip all day and mix to make excellent cocktails! Cheers

On the nose, I get a savory vegetable flavor that reminds me of mushrooms. The palate provides more of the same with a hint of citrus and mint on the back end. It finishes with a bit of a sour note that's surprisingly pleasant. Overall, it's not my favorite, but it's a solid blanco that I enjoy and will continue to enjoy until the end of the bottle.

Very good for the price point - this rating had a big boost for the value: only $38 near me. Cooked agave, vegetal, strong citrus mid palette with some cinnamon, more citrus and some floral notes to finish.

Moderately complex flavors of agave, citrus, earthy, vegetal, and a slightly sweet buttery taste. This is a solid Blanco especially for the price.

I picked this up in Texas for $40 and it is amazing. The alcohol presence on smell and taste is extremely minimal. Very green. Super easy to sip. Multiple flavor profiles. My bottle has the TMM additive free sticker! If you see this, don’t think, just buy!!

It's Sunday! Sipping Sunday!! Happy National Silent Movie Day!!! Tonight's pour comes from NOM 1068 Agroindustria Guadalajara, La Pulga Blanco. The brand was founded by famous Restauranteur Sarah Castillo, Club owner and Operator of the Northside Open-Air Market Andrew De La Torre, and Stephen Slaughter an Entrepreneur and Real Estate Developer. La Pulga literally translates to "the flea". In this case, La Pulga refers to the open air market on the Northside of Ft Worth. A very diverse atmosphere and rich in culture, La Pulga has served the community since the 1940's as one of the oldest "Flea Markets" in the country! Agaves are harvested once they've met an optimal sugar content. Then Cooked in a combination of High Pressure Autoclave and Stone Brick Ovens. Extraction of juices is done by Roller Mill and Deep Well Water is added. Fermintation happens in Stainless Steel Tanks for 3 to 6 days before being distilled twice in Stainless Steel Pot Stills. Aroma: Sweet Agave, Earth, and Cinnamon blend together at the beginning. You can get a sense for the minerality. Grapefruit and Lemon act in unison for the Citrus component. Anise, Mint, and a Herbal quality are present. Tart Apple hints in here too. There is also a little Raw Agave note and a little Vegetal note as well. And a Fruity blending with a light Cream Soda rounds this out. Taste: Sweet Cooked Agave certainly meets you! Green Tart Apple and Spicy Cinnamon follow the Agave. Black Pepper is also part of the Spicy characteristics. There's a little Earthy and Mineral complexity to the taste. Grapefruit is the overwhelming distict Citrus flavor. All the Green components transfer from the nose to the taste with Anise, Mint, Herbal and Vegetal. Finish: The Sweet Agave stays long mixing with the Spicy Cinnamon/Pepper notes. And the Grapefruit rides long too with a slight touch of the Anise and Mint. TMM- 86 Salud!!!

Very light aroma, simple yet elegant. Great agave notes, a little earthy, vegetal, and peppery with some mild mineral hints. Flavor is a bit stronger with some metallic and alcohol, earthy, vegetal. and peppery too. Finish is even stronger but has a hint of solvent or acetone. Not my favorite blanco but I'd drink it again.

Fresh open aroma: lots of minerality. Mint is very present. Good agave notes as well Taste: strong agave followed by slight alcohol and mint. Good mineral notes as well. Very buttery and “smooth”. Finish: WOW. the finish is sweet and minty! One of the best finishes I’ve had.
