ArteNOM Selección de 1123 Blanco
“Not as good as 1579. Way overpriced in my opinion. Another one I was expecting more from. I’ll revisit after a few days like I did Cascahuin Tahona. It got really good after opening up some. ”

Señorita Mexicana Blanco
“Usually I’ll give one a half bottle chance before grading. But I have a hard time believing this tequila is Tahona crushed, brick ovens, wooden tanks etc. I’m leaning towards a diffuser. 29 bucks for 700ml. Some kind of weird funk note in there and just doesn’t have an agave forward flavor like a blanco should. Especially a Tahona blanco. No minerals. Also an artificial vanilla in there too. I’ll revisit but I doubt anything changes. Don’t even want to try it in a drink but I will so you don’t have to. ”

Tequila G4 Blanco 108
“Good lord this one has a kick to it. Minerals, agave, pepper, alcohol and a hint of sweetness. I like it. Mixes well in some mineral water, I’m using the Perrier with a splash of margarita mix. ”

Cascahuín Blanco
“Sweet cooked agave, brine, minerals and bell pepper. Finishes sweet and lingers awhile. This is great. I haven’t bought this bc I really didn’t think the repo was that good so I shied away from the blanco until now. Finally got it and to me this is top tier. Good sipper and mixes really well especially in anything that uses mineral water. I paid 44 bucks plus tax for it. I heard it used to be cheaper but I’ll pay it for this quality. ”

Alma del Jaguar Tequila Blanco
“This is a bold tequila for 40%. Agave, minerals and brine mostly. A little mint sweetness on the end, not much. Semi oily and easy to drink. I think it was 45 bucks. Good mixer and good sipper. ”

Patrón 100 Silver
“Not much aroma. It’s agave forward with a kick. Peppery and fades into some sweetness. I didn’t like it as a sipper but went well in a margarita. Oh, also has the brine thing going on. I think it’s been overhyped. 47 bucks for a Tahona tequila ain’t bad tho. 100 proof. I’m sure I’ll use for margaritas again. ”

Zumbador Tequila Añejo
“Very light for an anejo. Has caramel and butterscotch with some cooked agave but the flavors are light. You can taste them but it’s almost bland. Easy drinking and nothing bad but if you’re expecting it to be exploding with flavor you’ll be disappointed. I think I like the repo better. Makes a decent old fashioned especially for the price. ”

Mijenta Tequila Reposado
“Very buttery. Butterscotch. Caramel. Lingers. Makes a nice old fashioned. I think I’ll rotate the Don Fulano anejo and Mijenta repo for those. Not that great in a margarita. ”

Volcan de Mi Tierra Blanco
“It’s easy drinking. I don’t really get much wet cement like I get from most Tahona tequila. I know it’s a blend but….its solid but not anything special. ”

LALO High Proof 2025
“Taste like a Tahona was used. Brine and minerals. Wet cement thing going on. Lots of agave. Not much sweetness to it but in this case that’s fine. Easy drinking for 100 proof. I’m a fan. ”

ArteNOM Selección de 1579 Blanco
“Got that wet cement thing going on, brine, vegetal and taste fades to mint. Nice sipper and makes a great margarita. Revisited: It’s even better than before with the 2nd bottle. Taste is bold like a high proof tequila. Dangerously good. Will be buying this on the regular. ”

Don Fulano Añejo
“Best additive free anejo I’ve had. I generally like some additives in the aged expressions but this one is outstanding on its own. Really smooth and no burn. Some kind of fruity cherry type thing going on with some vanilla and spice. Agave is in there but light. Excellent old fashioned, neat and not bad in a margarita if mixed with a splash of blanco. ”
