“Dark for a seven month white oak barrel Reposado. Nose has floral and oak overtones with a hint of vanilla. Pallet has faint agave and vanilla on the front, with a slight oak spice and a caramel-vanilla finish. Sweet for a Reposado and easy to sip, it is Añejo-like. Too sweet and not enough agave for my taste. Nevertheless, a fine tequila from small batch craftsmanship and worth exploring.”

“Nose: Fruity baked agave. Palate: Creamy buttered cooked agave, finishing into a soft cinnamon with a hint of caramel. Excellent Repo, at the top of the list. Buttery and soft all night long. ”

“Light citrus, agave, and anise on the nose. A pallet of agave, cinnamon, with faint vanilla and oak, transitioning into a medium finish with mild caramel, pepper/anise and cooked agave. Delicious, light and easy. Great oily legs, with a medium to long and clean finish. An Añejo with agave in the front, middle and, end, not over powered by oak, vanilla or caramel. Spectacular.”

“Nose: honey, citrus, and agave; Palate: honey, floral-citrus, on the front into a soft cooked agave spice, that then fades into a dry and faintly oaky-vanilla-agave finish. Great price point. Small batch craftsmanship. I like it, I think I will have another.”

“Nose: vanilla, caramel, some floral and agave. Tongue: a strong sweet vanilla and caramel, with faint agave; and a soft sweet buttery cream soda pepper finish, which comes with a slight residue and aftertaste on the dorsal surface of the tongue. Additives, sweeteners, and/or use of diffuser, I suppose, without knowing for sure. Not for me, too sweet and syrupy, but it has its place and will make someone happy. A beautiful hand painted bottle to be sure, with a steep price tag. ”

“A hint of vanilla and citrus on the nose. Caramel, roasted agave, mild butterscotch with a light oaky spice and agave at the finish. Complete flavor profile. Small batch oven roasted. Proof that process matters. Also, cool labels for each of the expressions. ”

“Beauty is in the tongue of the beholder. For my taste, this was better than the Extra Añejo, more true to form. On the nose some vanilla and spiced agave: not too complex. On the tongue, cooked agave and vanilla (not necessarily in that order, every time) mild heat in the middle with a little agave, pepper and toffee at the finish. A softer and milder finish than the EA, really. ”

“Not bad, but the Añejo is better. I would drink it over other popular shelf Reposados. Worth a try at an easy price point. EDIT: After further examination and reconsideration, this a fine Reposado. As good as recent others with higher ratings and price point. In fact, I might even change my mind and chose it over the Añejo. As a result I raised the rating. ”

“Sweet, true, but tasty. This is for the Extra Añejo and the Añejo. Interesting floral and agave on the nose. On the tongue: Agave, vanilla, butterscotch, some fruit and light spice with a caramel finish. The finish has faint pepperiness, which quickly fades away to caramel-honey. No oaky ethanol here. Easy to sip all night long. The EA is a bit sweeter than the Añejo . ”

“Not too complex on the nose: a bit of oak, alcohol and faint vanilla and agave. On the tongue the oak is prominent, but with some caramel, toffee, light agave and sweetness, which carries over into some heat and then a smooth finish. I would get this again, and in the meantime I will try the Añejo. ”

“Soft caramel agave to the nose. Some lime, cooked agave, and mild sweetness on the tongue with a soft syrupy peppered agave finish. Not too sweet, and pleasant. ”

“Wood and alcohol on the nose. On the tongue, wood, pepper/cinnamon, some smoke, light agave with some heat/spice on the finish. Mixed emotions, but Scotch drinking friends may appreciate this more.”

“Caramel licorice on the nose. Spice, agave on the front of the tongue, which lingers a bit and some vanilla and sweetness at the end. Not too sweet, but soft and pleasant, and maybe too expensive.”

“Sweet, true, but tasty. Interesting floral and agave on the nose. On the tongue: Agave, vanilla, butterscotch, some floral and spice with a smooth caramel finish. No oaky alcohol here. Easy to sip all night long. Scotch and Bourbon aficionados will find the smokiness and pepperiness too faint, which quickly fades away to caramel-honey at the finish. The EA, is a bit sweeter and smoother. This line is one of my all time “flavorits”. All the Abandonado formulas have a sweetness in the taste.”

“Light Añejo, light agave on the tongue, not very complex, but some spice on the front with caramel on the backend, each fades after a few. Enjoyable. ”
