“This is fast becoming my favorite tequila. I get the reviews but I get a very strong butterscotch flavor. The tasting review shows Cinnamon, but for me it’s more butterscotch. There’s something very special, very delicate, and very complex about this tequila that really keeps me coming back for more.”

“On the soft side for a repo. Vanilla, Carmel. I do like it but at this price point I won’t buy it again. ”

“Smooth, light. Vanilla, butter.. butterscotch I like it. It’s not as bold as many for an Anejo. The alcohol is subtle. A little hint of fruit too. ”

“Decent repo. Happy to find additive free tequilas. Pepper dominates, too strong for ceviche or grilled fish. ”

“It’s a decent value… my only complaint is it’s an extra Anjeo… it is still completely focused on cooked agave so much so, that the barrel flavors are overshadowed. When I pay for an Extra Anjeo I expect a very strong barrel flavor. While good it’s not amazing”

“Perfect. It’s not free… but worth the money. I actually went and bought two more bottles to squirrel away. It’s just about the most balanced extra Anjeo I’ve ever tasted. I appreciate that it’s NOT just cooked agave. When something is aged to this level, the barrel flavors in my opinion SHOULD slightly dominate a little over the cooked agave. So many highly rated ones fail either with no agave flavor left.. or so much you can’t tell it’s not just a Reposado. Very smooth.”

“Musty scent. Like old cinnamon gum. It’s not horrible. Save it for college kids who mix with red bull. Agave, cinnamon then a little caramel. I paid $53 for this rep… but that’s WAY to much for this. NOM 1586”

“Really like this one. Cooked agave, we’ll balanced with vanilla and oak. Creamy finish of caramel. This now my favorite available in my area Repo. This is different and similar to Fortaleza. I think with food the Fortaleza is more open and laid back. For just sipping the 1414 is a tad more bold and a bit more flavorful.”

“Not as good as the Blanco. A little agave, alcohol, vanilla.. lots of a bitter side oak in the finish. Decent, not amazing.”

“This is a really nice Blanco… not Lalo quality but good for the money. A little flavor forward for food pairing, but pretty good. Nice agave, pepper, cinnamon maybe a little spice in there.. anise maybe. A little vanilla in the finish to coat the teeth. ”

“This is probably the most disappointing tequila I have ever purchased. Both the panel and the community rate this in the 90s. I did not enjoy this tequila very much. It has a very strong rubbing alcohol flavor both in the first note and the finish. It is mostly raw agave flavor. A little grapefruit rind, some salt in the finish. I served this in a blind tequila tasting with 6 other tequilas and one of the questions was “Which tequila is your least favorite?”.. all 12 people listed this as their least favorite. It cost me about $100 and was beat out by Partida Blanco at $30. ”
