“Aroma - agave cooked in butter, mineral, citrus, low floral and vegetal Flavor - cooked agave and loads of black/white pepper, citrus rind, minerals, geranium, floral Finish - long finish from spicy to dry citrus peel Thoughts - the nose is just too flat/buteric to really enjoy. flavor and finish is great, spicy, enjoyable. on sale for under $50 this is decent but i wouldn't buy for full price”

“Lote 23-5(?) Aroma - not a huge aroma but very nice. agave, low white pepper, lime, floral Flavor - agave, cooked agave, lots of black pepper, green olive, lime Finish - agave and pepper linger to a dry finish, no astringency Thoughts- complex and earthy, didn't do well in a high proof blind but i can't find any faults with this and it bring a silencio to my face every time. I bought it for $70 and I think its still a good value up to about $100”

“NOM 1599 - BA02/22 Aroma - warm agave, minerality, new shoe rubber, low floral/vegetal Flavor - agave, slight rubber, big peppery spice, low lime, floral Finish - pepper really lingers in a pleasant way, low lime, dry bit not astringent Thoughts - the aroma isn't bad but just seems flat and the background rubber note is destracting and off putting. it does open up with a little water but the rubber doesn't go away. the premium price makes this pretty disapointing ”

“This is excellent when you can find it on sale for under $40. It covers all of the bases and works neat or in cocktails.”

“2020 bottling but purchased and opened in 2025 Aroma - a little flat and more vegetal than agavesomw spice and pear Flavor- more agave now than vegetal, vanilla, citrus, a lot of spice and pepper follows, there is some minerals but not astringent pronounced as in the blanco Finish - finish starts sweets and then tapers off and becomes dry and a touch astringent but pleasant Thoughts- the aroma masks what this could be. the herbal/vegetal aroma prevents this from being really great. although its still very good and i got it on sale for $35 so no complaints. ”

“Lot 4 Aroma - strong roasted/ toasted agave, vegetal, oak, vanilla, lime Flavor - sweet roasted agave, quickly followed by a burst of peppery spice, background vanilla, citrus very full mouthfeel Finish - low agave, vanilla, citrus, slightly bitter/astringent Thoughts - tasted after G4 and Ocho Reposados, this really stands out. maybe the slightly higher proof but the aroma and flavor are bigger and the spice on the pallet is excellent. $90 is definitely a premium but I think this is worth it for a great sipping Reposado ”

“Aroma - roasted agave, low burnt tabacco, citrus/lime, low vanilla, low toasted oak, low floral/geranium Flavor - roasted agave, lime, pepper, initial sweet vanilla fades to spice and then slightly bitter lime, low geranium Finish - underlying sweetness, overlayed with peppery spice and bitter lime, agave lingers Overall - this is an excellent reposado that adds a touch of sweetness without overwhelming the agave. the bitter citrus works well and clenses the pallet. price is pretty good at $62. Will certainly buy again”

“Aroma - low aroma but there is some fruit (apples, berries) and light agave Flavor - nice flavors of agave, minerals, fruit, white pepper Finish - lingering peppery finish is nice but not exceptional Overall - very nice with some unique flavor from the wine barrels but im not sure it's worth the premium price”

“bottle from 2022, has been open for a while. Just don't love this but it's also not bad. so many great tequilas to drink instead. not sure how this scores a 90 Aroma - initial wiff of butter fades to light vegetal, floral, citrus, not much agave, mint Flavor - agave, floral, citrus, stone fruit, pepper, ethanol. minty. nice mouthfeel, medium viscosity then tingly, Aftertaste - lingering, dry, slightly astringent, vegetal Thoughts- I keep wanting this to be great but it just doesn't work as a sipper. Will use in cocktails but probably won't buy again”

“Lot - 11DFA23 Aroma light, red fruit/berry pastry sweetness, low floral/rose, low vegetal, very low agave Flavor starts with a butter cookie/shortbread, followed by the same jammy fruit of the aroma, slight sourness, then you get pepper and spices Finish nice spicy, tingly finish that fades to lingering sweetness Thoughts This is enjoyable but would love it to have a bigger agave presence. the spiciness is great. I got this on sale for $65, I think it's great at that price but won't buy it again at full price”

“10/2024 bottle Aroma roasted/smoke vegetal, cooked pear skins (slightly bitter), low citrus, pepper, lightly sweet Flavor roasted, light sweetness, minerals, white pepper, baked pears with spices, celery Body - feels a bit thin/watery Finish tingly, medium/long finish, mineral, slight drying but not astringent Thoughts I really enjoy this, a lot going on from start to finish. I wish there was more agave on the aroma but glad it isn't all vanilla and oak. price at $75 seems about right but a little higher proof would make it great”

“NOM 1499 Aroma - cooked agave, vegetal, sweet Flavor - cooked agave, spiced peach gummy candy, cherry cola, anise, low white pepper Finish - medium length, sweet then becomes drying and slightly astringent Overall - this is a good tequila but doesn't deliver the way others do in the $50 price range. I'd like to try this from the new distillery ”
