Agave, barrel spice, with butterscotch, pitted fruit and oak. If you e ever used staves definitely has that taste. And wood notes.
An interesting release from Mijenta. I found substantial influence from the barrel on the nose of this Reposado. Barrel spice, cinnamon, clove, light caramel, cooked agave, a floral component, citrus, white pepper, and butterscotch. On the palate the spices really take over with cinnamon, and clove being the leading notes for me. The finish was mid range with cooked agave and a bit of vanilla coming through. Although I do like this Reposado, it is not my preferred profile. A bit too much spice for my palate, and lacking some of the sweetness that I’ve enjoyed from Mijenta’s previous releases. Additionally, this new special release continues a trend I’ve found throughout most of Mijenta’s catalog. For me, the aroma on Mijenta’s releases tends to be the best part of the spirit. Its depth & delicacy has blown me away in the past with a rich floral component that I don’t often find in Mijenta’s peers. Unfortunately, the palate doesn’t quite live up to the high benchmark set on the nose.
Lote 470 05/12/23 Aroma: Graham crackers, toasted almond, dried fruit, and caramel Flavor: vanilla caramel, sage, baking spice, stewed fruit, and a little molasses Mouthfeel: medium body with a little alcohol burn on the tip of my tongue Finish: alcohol burns off quickly and leaves a long lingering sweetness Color: straw
LOTE NO. MJTEES/REP100/001, acquired recently, tasted on 4-27-25. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: initial aroma reminded me of the Casa Dragones reposado Mizunara, but with half the wood astringency. Light sweet raw wood, light cinnamon, hint of mint, hint of white pepper, light acidity, spicy. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, spicy raw wood note quite similar to Casa Dragones reposado Mizunara, wood note is too impregnating. Finish: hint of unripe red cherry, hint of cooked agave, light vanilla with raw fresh wood note persists.
Butterscotch, cinammon, citrus, hint of mint
A bit of a perfume-like taste. Nose is ok but complex without clear aromas; mixed and disappointing. Finish is the best part; some burn but bright agave. Overall not a great value imo.
On the nose: Very pleasant aromas, like a summer day! Agave forward, with tons of floral notes. Hints of oak and vanilla. Earthy and grassy, with a touch of minerality and brine. Faint citrus. On the palate: Again agave forward, but this is where the barrel notes take over. Citrus and a touch of coconut. Also get baking spice and oaky flavors with a hint of vanilla. Coats the mouth really well. Would be higher, but there’s a little bit of a bitter finish, like a grapefruit. If you’re a fan of grapefruit, you may love this. I’m not a huge grapefruit fan. Also, a little pricey for my liking for a repo (about $80), but I don’t regret buying it and I will definitely come back to this!
I prefer maestra #1
Aromas de caramelo, vainilla, madera, miel , agave y especias en el paladar es como un té de especias la madera se siente fuerte y se siente caramelo y en el regusto se siente un poco alcohol
This is really lovely. It’s got so much going on, the barrel spice, caramel, and sweet agave jump out at you on the nose with a little bit of damp earth, and follows up with really nice quiet fruit and floral notes. The palate is so nice, the agave jumps out, the oak is clearly there and the with cinnamon, allspice, with a fruit note and a faint long-lingering pepper note. It’s a full body and oily mouthfeel that coats the tongue and helps with the long lingering pepper finish. This is a beautiful and really nicely balanced reposado, I really love this. I tend to be inclined more towards blancos and añejos in general, but this repo is so nice with a lot of character to it. Absolutely worthy of a spot in your home bar.
Not my thing, was really hoping I’d like it. Get a lot of alcohol and like biting wood.
Mild aroma. Very smooth flavor with a long finish that develops lots of spice over time.

Mijenta Symphony No. 2 carries the bright agave notes of the blanco, but they’re beautifully softened and rounded, making it a perfect nightcap. On the nose, it reminds me of a young Añejo, with fresh agave shining alongside barrel notes and hints of vanilla, toffee, and caramel. The viscosity is excellent, coating the palate with flavors of candied apple, honey, and oak. This one is definitely a winner.
Found this beauty during my trip in Nashville. You get the Agave on the nose along with the barrel notes and hints of vanilla, toffee, and caramel. The viscosity is great and I got the flavors of candied apple, honey, and oak. This one is definitely a winner.
I’ll come back to this but first pour is like an agave espresso martini. All the notes of the blanco expression are there, but rounded out in a unique way. Delightful for a night cap.

This is a well made reposado and has the aromas and flavors you would expect. Really no complexity here as with their everyday reposado but still great barrel notes with the agave being very present. Nose: cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, and oak. Palate: cooked agave, black pepper, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and oak. Still has a great mouth feel with a medium finish. A good sipper.
