High-proof, tahona-crushed blancos are my lane, and this one can definitely hang. Bright citrus up front, that classic clean Patrón profile, plus some minerality and a cool chalky/coco powder thing going on that I actually really liked. A nice medium finish with some salinity. Overall, this is well done and feels like a smart move by Patron to bring some aficionados back in after killing off the Roca line. For around $50 it’s really good value and I’d definitely drink it again.

I like this, especially for the price of $29 from Old Town.

Nose: Sweet and raw agave comes through right away, backed by a clear vegetal note that keeps it from leaning too soft. There’s a light minerality underneath, with a fresh lift of mint that keeps the nose feeling open and lively. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium full in texture, with a round, coating feel that carries the flavors well. Sweet agave leads, but it’s fuller here, moving into bright citrus and a touch of salinity that reads like salted butter. The minerality stays consistent, while mint and green herbal notes build alongside a slightly raw vegetal character that gives it shape. Finish: Clean and steady, with lingering sweet agave and a soft salted butter note that fades without much weight. Final Thoughts: This leans into the old school Roca Patrón profile: agave forward, a little raw, wet stone, lots of citrus, and not overly dressed up. It’s a solid reminder that Patrón is still capable of putting out quality releases. At around $45, it’s a genuine bargain for what it delivers.

While this is a decent tequila at the price point it just seems a bit soft for me. I was hoping for more complexity and rich bold flavors.
