tried at sabor chicago May 2026 Lost lore anejo aged in stout Barrels Sib nasa liquors Houston Houston agave club Sweet chocolate coffee dates stout beer. nice long finish. im enjoying this one
Nice desert like nose and taste. Unique tequila. Stout beer barrel rested. Chocolate and oak palate and nose. Only going to Houston TX. Tried at Sabor Y Cultura 2026
First Lost Lore expression I didn’t absolutely love. Super dark and bitter; agave is way in the background. I’m a huge fan of the brand, but this one didn’t do it for me.
These releases from Lost Lore just don’t sit with me. I’m not sure of the appeal of mixing a stout beer with tequila. I want agave. I want citrus. O don’t want beer in a Tequila.
Widely unique! Chocolate covered coffee beans! Long lingering spicy finish (reminds you that you’re sipping agave) and a great chocolatey nose. The stout is def prevalent! Very unique! Share this with your friends and they’ll be mind blown.
Nose: Dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, stout, tobacco and rich dessert sweetness. Palate: Thick, oily, and nicely viscous. Chocolate and stout lead the way, with coffee, caramel and vanilla following behind. The agave is light but still noticeable, adding some balance. Finish: Long and lingering, with sweet notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and stout. Mild, smooth, and dessert-like from start to finish. Excellent choice for late night drink.
Deliscious ultra smooth and unique sipper.
On the nose, rich dark chocolate leads the way, followed by layers of toffee, roasted coffee, stout, and soft vanilla. The palate delivers those same decadent notes with remarkable balance before transitioning into a subtle cooked agave sweetness and a long, lingering chocolate stout finish. Exceptionally smooth and beautifully integrated, this is one of those pours that’s dangerously easy to enjoy, you’ll find yourself reaching for another glass before you know it. Definitely worth the wait!!
A phenomenal single barrel añejo that pushes the boundaries without losing its identity. The nose is loaded with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, toffee, oak, and cooked agave. The palate is rich and velvety, leading with chocolate and espresso before transitioning into sweet cooked agave and subtle oak. The ex-stout barrel influence is unmistakable but remarkably well integrated, adding complexity rather than masking the tequila. The finish is exceptionally long, warming, and layered with lingering chocolate, coffee, and agave sweetness. It’s dessert-like, incredibly approachable, and one of the most memorable barrel-finished tequilas I’ve tasted. Even those skeptical of stout barrel finishes should give this one a chance. An outstanding, highly collectible pour.
One of the best Single Barrel Anejos. Nose: Chocolate, and cooked agave with some vanilla. Excellent sipper! Wish I bought more of this one.
If you’re expecting a big agave bomb, this probably isn’t going to be your thing. The stout barrel is front and center. But if you judge it for what it is instead of what you think it should be, it’s fantastic. First thing I got was chocolate and roasted coffee with just enough agave sweetness to remind you it’s still tequila. It’s rich, dessert-like, and almost dangerously easy to drink. I could honestly see someone putting away half a bottle before they even realized it. I know bottles like this get people asking, “Is it still tequila?” Fair question. All I know is it’s delicious. The barrel finish adds a ton without completely burying the spirit underneath. It sold out in about 90 minutes, and after finally trying it, I’d say it deserves the hype. It’s one of the more unique pours I’ve had in a long time, and I’d happily grab another bottle if I came across one.
Wow, what a surprise chocalate stout on nose and first taste. Then her come the agave and that long lingering finish. This could be addicting!
Tried this in Chicago at Sabor y Cultura. Important Note: don’t pass on this just because you think you don’t like stout influence. This release is a nod to the stout influence but not overpowering. Nose is delicious, palate is rich and deep with chocolate all day long. Super nice sipper. Finish is lingering in the best way.
This tequila was very unique in flavor. You definitely can taste the stout barrel influence. Overall, it’s pretty good. Sample from the Sabor y Cultura Chicago 2026

Agave, Chocolate, and sweet dates in the aroma, wow! Agave still comes through for me in the flavor along with a refined richness I can’t quite put a name to, golden raisin comes to mind but that might not be accurate, very enjoyable though. Some nice lingering spice through the finish with that chocolate coming back right at the end. What a treat! Thanks for the sample Mike Collins.
