“the #9 is good. the #10 is better. thicker, more luxurious mouthfeel and more highly concentrated agave flavor. also notes of pepper, citrus, earth, minerals, some salinity. I like this a lot. price drags the score down a hair”

“love the malo lactic nose and wish the funk carried a bit more onto the palate. still, this is a really good, authentic anejo. plenty of cooked agave present throughout the entire experience. enjoying this a lot. ”

“totally solid all around. oak, butterscotch, agave. very easy drinking. lacks some character to be a standout but it's quite good. probably not something I'd purchase (there are other bottles is prefer at the high price point) but I'd definitely drink your bottle if you're offering!”

“it doesn't get much better than this, folks. layered and complex from nose to finish. this is a creamy, viscous Blanco with incredible depth. rich cooked agave, brine, citrus, minerals, topsoil, peppermint, grass, tropical fruit, light smoke. the smoky note is not nearly as prominent as I suspected it might be based on other reviews and it rounds out the palate beautifully. a very top tier Blanco for me. one of the best. ”

“solid repo. nose of agave, wood, butter, honey and ethanol. the higher abv could be used more effectively as there is some bitterness and astringency on the palate but still enjoyable. the finish is the highlight. rich agave, cinnamon and honey cling to the tongue and throat. viscous mouthfeel. nice. ”

“very good but not extraordinary repo. price works against it. agave, minerals, cinnamon, apple, milk chocolate. gies down easy a little too easy. lacks a little structure. tastes good though ”

“I like this but not quite as much as I live everything else I have tasted from Yeyo..clearly well made but it's a bit overly oaked for my taste, especially for a repo. drinks more like an anejo to me. agave, caramel, honey, molasses are the other notes that stand out. the finish lingers and is the highlight,. despite the palate lacking just a hair. still, this expression is solid and Yeyo remains one of my absolute favorite brands. ”

“loving the Chamucos funk and if the expression wasn't so beautifully balanced, I might wish the funk were a little more pronounced. cooked agave with a natural vanilla sweetness, minerals. nice salinity. excellent.”

“this is fantastic! nose is oak, dark cherry, caramel, molasses and gives me all the bourbon notes. I had very little confidence the palate would feature much agave given the extreme age and all of the barrel influence on the nose but I couldn't have been more wrong. the high ABV punches you in the face with a blast of agave as the thick viscous liquid coats your tongue. nice minerality. and then the barrel notes round out the finish. more oak, tobacco, caramel, cherry, barrel spice. very impressive aging here. top notch xa. ”

“earthy and mildly funky. vegetal. minerals. unique profile that I like. no ethanol on the nose but a good bite on the palate that prolongs the finish. good tequila. ”

“as I approached this sample, the price point had already put a bad taste in my mouth. little did I know the tequila literally would too. Beyond underwhelming. the nose, while disappointing, ended up being the only tolerable part of the experience. agave, black pepper, ethanol, some brine. slightly muted with a faint aroma of burnt toast. the burnt quality takes over on the palate. there is a buttery quality with decent viscosity but the flavor reminds me of Novocaine you taste when getting a cavity filled. wildly bitter and I can't imagine it is the intended flavor profile. ”

“price hurts. this isn't quite the masterpiece i remember it being when I first tasted it a decade ago. somewhat light and almost watery. would be served well by a bump in abv. went down easy, that's for sure but somewhat lacking in flavor/intensity/body. agave, oak, sweet cognac notes. inoffensive but almost ...boring? ”
