Confianza repo - trying this for the first time thanks to samples from Junior Zander and Matt Cavanaugh The nose is excellent! fruit, sweet barrel spices, agave, brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, banana, mild pepper, following thru on the palate. I wish the finish was a little sweeter. But still, this is very enoyable, an easy sipper. extra points for price!

Nose: Banana, almond, oak, melon, and agave are what come to mind. Especially the banana. As it opens up, I get some toffee, butterscotch, and just a hint of earthiness. Light to medium bodied mouth feel and maybe some pumpkin spice on the palate. The finish does an interesting thing here. It seems to progressively sustain the flavor for longer and longer each time. My first sip I thought the finish to be enjoyable but short-lived. As I proceed, that is not the case.. Anyhow, I'm getting banana, agave, caramel, oak, clove, and even a bit of coffee on the last bit of the finish. There is an incredible depth to this one. Seems to another great (but totally unique Reposado from 1414!) I'm gonna go against the grain and say that this reposado, especially for the price, is criminally underrated! 10/10 points for value @ 26.99 for 1L

Nose: chocolate/ caramel/ butter/ cinnamon/ banana/ light citrus / tea / nutmeg/ butterscotch / hazelnut / cream soda Taste: cooked agave / chocolate / vanilla/ caramel/ cinnamon/ banana/ spearmint/ tea / nutmeg / butterscotch / molasses/ cream soda Finish: elegant lightly viscous mouthfeel with intense flavors / sweetness and lingering chocolate/vanilla notes and a subtle finish of caramel This reposado has so much flavor going on. There’s a lot of melodies trying to compete to take center stage, but it still feels balanced and so satisfying. The barrel notes are intense enough to make you think this is an anejo. Another winner from NOM 1414.

Sweet cooked agave. Big nose of Carmel, cinnamon and vanilla. A bit of oak. Light citrus. Cooked agave on the tongue. Black pepper, cinnamon, oak with a touch of caramel and cherry. This is another nice 1414 offering. Has a nice finish with a bit of alcohol that lingers. This is a great budget Reposado.

The aroma begins with familiar notes of oak, cherry, and cooked molasses, accompanied by a prominent yet not overpowering presence of ethyl. With nuances of caramel, rainy earth, an alcohol tone, and a hint of wet cement. The palate is enveloped in flavors of oak, reminiscent of cherry coke and bourbon, red apple complemented by the comforting essence of cooked agave’ raisin tone, cooked almond, leather, yeast/brown bread and delectable honey. All spice and a faint hint of brine add depth to the experience, creating a near gourmand yet warranted salivation of the palate. As the tasting fades, lingering notes of cherry, oak, spice, and light honey are accompanied by an earthy freshness with vanilla/banana interwoven and the subtle presence of bourbon. Flavors gradually exit center stage, leaving behind a pleasant minerality that lingers on the palate.

The perfect budget friendly repo. This gem instantly made it to my top repos under 40 bucks. It's actually under 30. From the folks at Furthur, Sergio Cruz at NOM 1414 nailed it. Bonus points for price point.

Nice agave on the nose. Not a complex repo but very easy to sip. No heat, very enjoyable. Another nice tequila out of 1414. Bonus points for price. Update: I enjoy this one. It’s really easy to drink and a joy to sip.

Nose: Sweet cooked agave leads the way, followed by warm caramel, light vanilla, and butterscotch. Palate: The flavors carry over beautifully from the nose, cooked agave, caramel, and vanilla but with an added layer of minerality and a subtle earthy note that brings balance and depth. That extra dimension keeps it from feeling one-note and adds real character. Finish: Smooth and lingering with gentle sweetness and a faint earthy flavor. Another winner from 1414. Great value, great profile, and an easy recommendation.

Not my favorite nose for a repo, but the finish has a bit of butterscotch, which is interesting.

This definitely reflects the aging in whiskey barrels. If that is not your favorite profile, just move on. I appreciate the easy drinkability that comes from a bit of aging in oak. It does have some cooked agave and pepper with the oak also present. This gets extra points for value. I congratulate them for producing a repo that many people can enjoy. I prefer the Gran Dovejo repo from the same distillery which shares some similarities but has a greater range of flavors and depth. It is also more expensive and harder to find but I recommend you look for it and give it a try also.

Solid, affordable ($37 @ Ferment and Still) reposado. Extra points for affordability. Aroma: Subtle. Cooked agave, tangy plumb citrus, light oak, and black pepper in the initial nose. A bit of carmel and cinnamon spice in the back end. Taste: Initial punch of black pepper that is quickly overtaken by cooked agave and cinnamon. The oak appears and then disappears. Light on the palate, almost no heat. Quite pleasant. Finish: Long with a sweet cinnamon warmth that rides atop of the cooked agave.

Very enjoyable sipper! Aromas of agave, oak, caramel, citrus & spice. Creamy, buttery agave & caramel flavors. Zero heat, pepper or alcohol burn on this super smooth finish. Definitely bonus point on value. I’m so glad you don’t have to spend $50 to get a reposado like this one.

Such a great value reposado. Packed with really good in your face flavor that’s easily approachable. Just the right amount of oak flavors and tons of notes of mint and bell pepper. Excellent priced reposado that can be used for an everyday supper
