Crazy Blanco/agave aroma! Sensational!! Great Cascahuin taste—really sweet and peppermint taste. Awesome overall!

Nose: Cooked agave leads, clean and slightly warm. There’s a dry minerality that comes through right away, backed by some earth and a soft green herbal note - mint and raw veg, maybe even a bit of bell pepper. It’s not a loud nose, but there’s some depth hiding in there. A light dusting of cinnamon adds a gentle spice around the edges. Palate & Mouthfeel: Sweet agave right up front. There’s a nice brightness to it - not overly sweet, but it shows up clean and clear. Minerality and salinity follow, giving it some tension and lift. The veg notes carry over from the nose, still green but not bitter. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side for a blanco, a little oily and rounded. It drinks like it’s higher proof - not hot, but structured and dense, in a good way. Finish: Cinnamon comes back, subtle but present. The veg lingers too, giving it an earthy, savory lean on the backend. Not a long finish, but it holds together well and leaves behind a clean agave-driven impression. Final Thoughts: I like this one - even with my palate a little off tonight, the agave still cuts through. It drinks more like a still strength even though it’s not, and I mean that as a compliment. There’s a weight and clarity to it that stands out, and it makes me want to come back to it on a better tasting night to pick up on the detail I’m probably missing right now.

On the nose: Minerality, jalapeño, cooked agave, pepper, classic caschuin notes but they are bold! On the pallet: It’s balanced and blended, it’s soft and warm with a punch of pepper, cooked agave, earth, minerality, jalepeño, Delicious hit from Chava, though I’m not surprised. What he really nailed here was an elevated version of caschuin’s blanco. It’s bolder, more balanced with deeper flavors.

I’ve been waiting to try this brand for a long time so thankful that Jeff Broitmam was able to send me a sample! This Blanco definitely has the DNA of NOM 1123. On the nose I get a great earthiness with a little limestone smell cooked agave and a grassy mineral smell. Taste I get a great cooked agave and a ton of minerals and a little a niece The finish lingers a with little pepper agave and earthiness!

I’m getting everything here. It’s amazingly balanced cooked and raw agave pepper and citrus. Earthy as well and long finish. Very clean and fresh as expected from 1123. I also think it’s well priced. Very nice!

I have been wanting to try this brand for a long time but had trouble finding it. I am intrigued by the agave being from Michoacán. What differences will that bring? The liquid is clear in the glass with oily legs. Aromas of cooked agave, minerals, citrus, black pepper and earth. Flavors of cooked agave, white pepper spiciness, minerals, citrus and a hint of mint. There was a pleasant, medium-long finish. I would love to do a side-by-side comparison of this and Cascahuin. Same distillery but different agave regions.

Nose: Agave/Minerality/Black Pepper/Anise/Herbs/Hay/Floral/Vegetal Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and balanced. Flavor/ Finish: You get that signature minerality from cascahuin; petrochor and earthiness. Floral notes, herbal notes, and the finish you get are lacking the black pepper I'm used to; I'm definitely getting more anise and vegetal flavors. I actually tried the Still Strength first and am glad to have a deepened appreciation for the brand after giving the original a whirl.

Nose: Smells like roasted peanut dried out shells. Black and white pepper jumps out of the glass. Soon followed by citrus which merges into lemon and lime. Cooked and raw agave come through with earthy tones. The more it opens up the more fruit and floral aromas come forward. Palate: Really nice silky mouth feel. Great viscosity. Mild vanilla on the front palate for just a moment. Agave, pepper, and spice hit next. Fruit then allows. Grape skins and mild tropical fruit. The finish is long and very nice. This is a damn good blanco! Really flavorful, complex and a great value.

Nose- cooked agave, sweetness from the Michigan agaves, bright grassy notes, minerals and light alcohol Palate - great mouth feel, cooked agave, grass, minerals, cinnamon Finish - crisp and clean. Lingering cooked agave with light pepper finish

I opened the bottle and agave came forth. This is a good sign. Patience please my friends. The aroma is agave with hints of pepper and a touch of citrus. The flavor continues the agave with some minerality and some very light sweetness. This finishes smooth and easy with more more of the agave and easy pepper. A recommendation if you can. Blind taste the Legado against the Siembra Valles blanco and the Siembra azul blanco. There are different levels of agave and different mouthfeels. All are good. A fun experience with friends. Salud.

On the nose, loads of agave and minerals, a bit of citrus and earthiness. On the palate, again loads of agave. Really the star of the show. Some lime rind, a bit “green” so to speak. Very earthy but not super distinct as in Montagave lot 3. Sweet, citrusy, and very easy to drink. I’m not sure what Chava is doing over there, but he’s figured out a way to make this delicious tequila go down like water. This is definitely “smooth”, probably one of the best 80 proof tequilas I’ve had.

Vegetal and bright agave nose. Smells like signature 1123. Very easy sipper. Slight heat on the finish. A little flat.

LOTE 232 05/13/22 At $50 a bottle can't go wrong, especially out of 1123. Excellent. Straight pure and clean. Agave forward, citrus and minerals. Enough said

The new brand from NOM 1123 that is in its way to make a legacy and redefine the delightfulness of an artisanal tequila. Please see below our Blanco tasting review: Aroma: Bright and vivid that it leaps from the glass. Highly volatile vegetal and mineral notes that simmer into fruity and herbal aromatic notes. It’s a very fresh and crisp profile, that invites you to sip right away, just be careful as you may not stop… (we warned you!). Wow, this nose is absolutely stunning. Notes: raw agave, cucumber peel, limestone, melon, grilled pear, pineapple, bell pepper, tamarind, mint, key lime, and thyme. Flavors: Crisp, with a heavy lean on the agave essence notes which are complemented with minerality and herbal nuances. The mid-palate is kept clean and agave forward with slight hints of sweet mint, anise and lemongrass. Some slight notes of green fruits like pear, green apple and pineapple keep popping. The finish leads into a soft citrus and earthiness gradation with hints of cinnamon, clove and ginger. An enjoyable warmth of the spirit emanates quietly from the back of the palate. Very interesting. This Blanco is very enjoyable and the profile developed is suitable for beginners and connoisseurs. Notes: cooked agave, mineral, herbal, green fruits/apple, citrus, mandarin, black pepper, mint, anise, tamarind, cinnamon, clove and ginger
