“This Blanco Private Collection T is incredible packaging but sadly I thought it had very little complexity to the nose. Only Aromas of acetone and maybe some raw Agave or Olive. smooth mouth feel with a very short finish and very little burn for a blanco.”

“BEST surprise ever! At first glance this incredible bottle is hard to comprehend and understand that it's actually a bottle and has tequila in it. Also the fact that it is the shape of the Baja, which is not where tequila is made, was very confusing. But then I learned the story. A story of three friends together in Cabo who Loved tequila. Silky soft on the nose & palette. Yes it's warm but has no tequila burn. I'm not sure how they get so much oaky, warm flavor in just 4 months of resting. Soon to be tagged additive free I hear. This one is now a TequilaSnobs' favorite!”

Tequila 512 Reposado

“Tequila 512 is newish. 2012 to be exact. Friends with the makers of tito's so I thought, it can't be bad. And indeed I was right! This tequila snob, and many of you, will poo poo the use of additives. What's especially unique about this one is one of the reps actually, flat out, TOLD me that they added some vanilla to the reposado. I absolutely have no problem with this. My problem is the lack of transparency in so many brands. The vanilla they added is a tiny bit of sweetness and really, I noticed it more on the nose than the palate. Good job Texas ZIP code 512!”

“For this TequilaSnob, unfortunately, this one runs flat. I wanted it to be good.. (Good story and good people involved in the making.)So simple. No complexity. Probably good for non-tequila sippers or good in a beginner's margarita because Villa One has no taste. I did find some warm, quick mints & raw agave and of coarse the infamous and everpopular "wet cement". A pretty and understated bottle...unlike the Cabo Villa for which it was named at $18k a night!”

“I had seen this elusive brand a few times. This, in your face, "celebrity" brand; boasting an actual photo as the label seemed a bit tacky. However, with more research, Ms. Jenni Rivera was quite deserving of label status. She was an iconic singer who died tragically in an airplane crash in 2012. Now, on with her tequila.. this repo was mild & easy to sip. Had nice remainders of cooked agave without an overbearing oak impression. Not extremely complex but a nice sip! Salud Jenni R.i.P.”

“Purchased this one because of the beautiful, beautiful Packaging! Aroma immediately of French toast. Definitely could smell the toasted, Oak Barrel. Extreme, almost overbearing sweetness. On the palate sweet and no complexity and very little tequila heat. Beautiful mouth feel however this may be from additional addatives. Too sweet for this TequilaSnob. The bottle will be a beautiful art piece on my tequila wall but never to be purchased again and will probably remain full.”

“What a fantastic bottle! Perfect for Halloween scary cute! with such a novelty bottle I was pleasantly surprised by the juice inside. Smells way sweet to just be a Reposado. Nice Smoky butterscotch aroma. Very silky may be a glycerin add considering it is only a Reposado. Simple finish with very little burn, but still warms this tequilasnobs tummy.”

“Milagro is an iconic standby. Pretty, classically recognizable bottle. Not to mention the word Milagro means miracle! Could be perfect. . however, that's where the Perfection ends. with its strong Agave forward flavors and lack of complexity, it's an excellent choice in a mixed drink of any kind, but definitely not a sit and sip choice for this TequilaSnob. Now this one's more refined by being triple distilled twins, the "select" are a bit better.”

“This is the most mellow, clear tequila I've ever tasted. the beautiful, green bottle (with a swimming tortuga blown into the cap) said Plata... not blanco. Also says 70% and 100% Agave. but with so much sweetness and the absence of agave, cooked or not, it made a super sipper. Although I rated it very high it is very suspect for this TequilaSnob. ”
