In the nose- orange and fermentation smell. A bit of vanilla. A swift herbal smell. Bread like smell. In the palate- not rich/ evaporates. Can hardly taste the alcohol.
Blind tasted in a Glencairn glass with another repo.First taste was after a fresh pour (sitting 1-2 min), then retasted after letting it rest 20 min or so. Overall impressions: this one changed a lot after resting 20 min or so. Nice expression. Easy sipper. Aroma: light agave, alcohol, a little oak, and a touch of vanilla. After 20min or so the vanilla becomes much more pronounced Taste: lightly sweet vanilla and agave, medium mouthfeel. Finish: short finish with mostly agave flavor. After sitting 20 min, the finish developed significantly. Much longer with more agave and a nice slightly bitter oak and comfortable alcohol burn.
R2. Blind Aroma has light agave and vanilla, caramel almost towards butterscotch. Good. Taste is full bodied barrel tequila. More caramel and some black pepper. Again, good. Finish rounds out the aroma and taste and stays lingering. Again good.
The aroma that came across here was butterscotch and light/blonde coffee. Light buttery flavors came out to play with a great finish that was enjoyable through and through.
Light easy drinker. Not too complex. I do like this better than the blanco.
A great tequila from 1123 priced very well.
Nose: Oak, Vanilla,Black Pepper, Minerality, Cinnamon, Hay Palate: Cinnamon, Hay, Vegetal, Cooked Agave Finish: Vanilla, Custard, Cooked Agave, Barrel Spice
This has a nice nose of Agave and oak with orange with a small touch of vanilla. The taste is very well balanced with Agave, oak, citrus and followed by some tropical notes. A nice medium finish that leaves me wanting another sip.
Very impressed with this brand. Great nose with agave, minerals and earth. Floor is on point with nice cooked agave some minerality that flows into a nice earthiness and and bitter chocolate. Very nice.
The barrel smooths some edges from the tasty Blanco and adds some nice flavor of its own. Cinnamon and some caramel carried by a punch of ethanol make for a great experience. Tiny bit of bitterness on the finish takes a bit from the score. Thanks Tom
Aguasol repo nom 1123 tasting June 11 2024 sample from Tom H. Thank you Tom! color is light. legs are not as pronounced as with the blanco nose: slight barrel spice, fruit, caramel, melon, a little alcohol that is not offputting and fades quickly palate: sweet cooked agave, mild oak, barrel spice, some minerality and green apple finish: medium other: i assume they used exhausted barrels or only aged this for a few months because there isn't a heavy barrel influence, which I like. this is a very easy sipper and would also be great in cocktails, and the price is right. extra points for value.
Nice light barrel nose. Easy going palate and nice finish with a slight pepper finish. I like this much better than the Blanco.
Nose: Agave, salt/brine, oak, mint, melon Palate: Anise, black pepper, oak, cooked agave Finish: Light viscosity, no heat, flavors quickly dissipate
Subtle aroma suggestion of Spring
Nice clean, crisp flavor profile. Not a top choice but a pretty decent sipper for around $40.
Aroma of minerals, white pepper, and perhaps citrus. Flavors of cooked agave, oak, and maybe citrus pith Finishes cleanly, with flavors of agave. This is another great tequila in the sweet spot of about $50 USD.
The nose initially came across fairly simple but very clean. After a few minutes in the glass, more depth started to emerge with subtle tobacco notes alongside the agave and oak. The first sip opened with a light pepper note, but by the second sip the profile settled into a softer and sweeter direction. The sweetness reminded me more of an unlit cigar or cured tobacco leaf rather than candy-like sweetness. As the pour opened further I started picking up caramel and even a roasted sweet potato character that added warmth and depth without becoming heavy. What stood out most was the balance of the oak influence. The barrel is clearly present and leaves behind gentle oaky notes, but it never becomes tannic or overly drying on the palate. Instead of aggressive structure, this reposado leans approachable, rounded, and highly drinkable while still maintaining enough barrel character to stay interesting throughout the pour.
sweet agave, butterscotch, pepper, and light oak
Agave, caramel and barrel spices. Not too oaky. Easy to sip on and goes well in a drink. Priced fair at 43 bucks.
Nose is sweet agave, vegetal, well water. Mouth has a bright , nice pepper, cooked agave, finish lingers a bit but not overpowering. Solid Reposado as it comes. Dont hold off on it. I been waiting on this for a while and it finally hit my local store and it didn’t disappoint. I went in with an open mind except knowing the blanco hit so well, so I tried not to be biased! Haha
Aroma: oak, agave, mineral, herbs Taste: oak, agave, butterscotch, herbal Finishes with honey and melon notes Very simple, nice to sip, but not very complex. At $49.99 it feels like the price should be a bit less on this one
Lightly aged and well restrained. Cooked agave is still present, supported by soft vanilla, gentle oak, and mild baking spice. The barrel influence adds roundness without masking the agave or pushing sweetness. Overall: A balanced, easy-going reposado that stays agave-centric and doesn’t lean heavy on oak.

This is a Blind Tasting. I detect a flowery / herbal scent, minerals, and light toasted agave on the nose. The taste is smooth, woody, and a little soapy (but in a clean, good way). This is another smooth sipper that appears to be aged longer. The finish is short, but mellows gracefully, as if influenced by aging in whiskey barrels. I like this one, but it’s almost too sweet and too smooth to be “pure.”
