AMM Blind Tasting: On the nose I got a burst of cherry, cola, molasses and a decent hint of cooked agave with subtle black pepper and licorice. A nice sipper with brown sugar, baking spices, raisin and a hint of citrus. A dry, almost port-like finish.

NOM 1502 | Deep, rich, cherry agave aroma. Flavor adds light oak and black cherry. Very balanced and complimentary to the aroma, delish. Long and inquisitive finish.

Tasted blind with AMM: Aroma of apricot. More apricot on the flavor with some amaretto notes. Short finish. Points deducted for price.

On the nose, prominent aromas of dried stone fruit with a remarkable depth, like an apricot or peach cobbler, with side notes cinnamon spice and some hints of anise. The flavors combine a rich blend of apricot, apple, cinnamon sweetness topped with brown sugar, and a hint of orange. A long lasting finish melds the stone fruit flavors with some freshly cooked agave and more cinnamon. Price is a definite factor on this one.

NOM 1502 | Overall really good. Except for the finish a little bitter. Worth $250? No. Still good to try.

NOM 1502 | The aroma has carmel, wood and butter, dried fruit, maybe subtle coffee. Agave is present. The flavor is clean with pepper, carmel, slight vanilla and agave. The pepper is long-lasting on the finish, but the overall richness of the aromas doesn’t last on the palate. Scored an 85 during blind tasting, 12/25.

Beautiful floral notes on the nose and a nice soft finish with light sweetness and oak.

Tastes over-aged to me. Far too much wood, the agave is gone.

NOM 1502 | Nose : Honey , nutty , oaky , vanilla , baking spices , caramel Taste : charred barrel oak , burnt bitter caramel into a honey vanilla with a cherry sweetness finish Burnt barrel flavors overpower some of the other notes , too expensive

NOM 1502 | Nice nose with agave, raisins, stone fruit, caramel and wood notes. Great amber color with nice tear adhesion in the glass. Silky mouthfeel. Mildly sweet with much of the nose present along with vanilla, carmel and barrel spices. Smooth, easy sipper with a nice long cinnamon spice finish.

Blind taste test Aroma- oddly light for an extra, apple, cinnamon, dried stone fruits Flavor- rich apple cinnamon with a tiny hint of orange Finish- very cinnamon spicy and long lasting A great extra, but it takes a hit on price.

Viscous, coats the mouth. Butter.

NOM 1502 | Lot: TPA-126-LA. Acquired at the beginning of 2019. Color: brown. Nose: wood spiciness, menthol, black fermented oolong tea, vanilla. Palate: wood spiciness, vanilla and oolong tea, the menthol keeps it fresh, otherwise wood have felt the wood too cloying. Very slight cooked agave. Finish is medium, the vanilla and wood spiciness persists.

M&J. Classic warmth and mouth of an XA. Buttery, caramel. Nice balance between sweetness and heat.

Very good. Slightly bitty at the end. Great aroma. Not quite worth the 350$ price tag though.

Love this one, I like it when you can taste the quality. How it should taste, old school, not too sweet.
