“Was reading amazing reviews and decided to try. Picked for $129 at Binny’s. I can see how this tequila appeal to some purists. Very clean and pleasant smell, a little sweet, subtle citrus and earthy. Like others have mentioned it has a slight peppery bite upfront and that overpowering other flavors. To me it lacks depth I am used to from other quality pure tequilas. In similar taste profile I would rather pick Fortaleza anejo. But personally, prefer more citrus and vanilla rather than pepper. Good, not great.”

“This is the most pure expression of Anejo I’ve seen. So beautifully balanced, clean, and unassuming yet so perfectly executed. Nose: wonderful, sweet yet not overpowering, citrusy, and cooked agave Taste: balanced, delicious, perfectly respeced agave Finish: has some tequila tingling but controlled and just enough to spook amateurs ;) Just grab one if you see it. Great product, great price as you can still get it reasonably at $70 or so depending on your area. ”

“This is a wonderful Extra Anejo for someone who does not like overly sweet or overly vanilla profile. The nose is absolutely beautiful well-balanced and rich. The flavor is very clean, silky smooth although for me, it is lacking the depth and layers of flavor. In my current Extra Anejo collection I would place it after Rey Sol or Código 1530 Extra Anejo. This one is catered to someone who likes very neutral taste, which it delivers! Beautiful drink, but on a pricier side at $270 a bottle. ”

“What Tequila Should Be Made Like! Nose: phenomenal! Subtle cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, sweet, smooth and delicious! Taste: delicious, clean, smooth, not too sweet. Finish: smooth, rich, creamy Overall: this is what pure Anejo should be like!”

“A Sugar Bomb! Nose: sweet, sweet, sweet- caramel with banana and subtle oak. Almost perfumey-sweet. Taste: same notes as in the smell, sweet, but not overpowering, pleasant, actually. Finish: smooth and pleasant Value: not bad, probably good for anyone new to tequilas, maybe thisnis why it’s heavily marketed at Total Wine.”

“Nose: excellent, vanilla, minerality, sweetness, floral Taste: bland uprfont, somewhat bland mid and end, easy to drink, very smooth. I’d love it to have a bit more character and flavor. Finish: smooth and creamy Overall: pretty good, I wish it had more something on the taste front. But pretty good for Reposado. Wish it was less expensive.”

“Nose: cooked agave Taste: cooked agave, subtle sweetness, somewhat soapy. Finish: grassy, some bitterness, earthy Overall: there’s nothing Extra Anejo about it. It’s a good tequla but I expected a lot more. Nothing special, not worth the price.”

“Beautiful on the nose: fresh, citrusy, and earthy. Flavor is clean and citrusy as well, but not as pronounced as in the smell. Great finish. Overall, amazing sipping Anejo! A bit on the pricier side.”

“I’m a huge fan of Codigo’s XA and Anejo, this one, however, is a step down and for the price I would not recommend it. ”

“Fantastic! Absolutely great and reach, caramel, vanilla and apple on the nose. Very pure and rich taste for an Extra Anejo, balanced and clean. Nothing stands out to me as in some other tequilas but the taste is just pure amazing. Great, but if you prefer vanilla or agave forward this ain’t it.”

“Nose: agave and sweet vanilla, probably one of my favorites Taste: smooth has a bit tingly feeling and watery finish. For the price I think there are better options but I’m not regretting trying this one. ”

“This is basically the Addictivo Extra Anejo. Very sweet for my taste. Good night cap but not a real tequila. ”

“Too sweet, too artificial. Overall, just a cheap marketing bandwagon. Not comparable with real tequilas. Don’t waste your money.”

“Color is darker what I’d expect for Anejo, overall reminds me Codigo Extra Anejo in many ways for 1/3 the price. And quite honestly I like arteNom more! Nose - smokey, sweet, fruity, agave, thick, complex. Flavor - complex and deep. Fantastic! Finish is extremely smooth. Overall, my best new discovery. Absolutely love it and worth every penny!”

“Just like many others mentioned here it’s a good tequila but for the price I would absolutely not recommend it as you can find much better options. Fairly think but pleasant on the nose, very fruity, i sense blackberries. Flavor continues in the same manner and somewhat thin with a subtle tingle at the end. Good but would not spend that much money on it again.”

“Grand Mayan XA is one of the best values out there. Currently priced at $95 at total wine this XA exhibits everything I love about tequilas. Vanilla and subtle oak and cinnamon on the nose, very pleasant and refined. A little sweeter note but has pepper and subtle bite so you don’t forget you are drinking a tequila! Extremely well made sipper! I tasted it a while ago first and remembered it differently than it is now. I remembered it as darker and more barrel first taste and smell, now, I think they might’ve changed the recipe recently.”
