Big, big aroma & flavor blanco! Tons of cooked agave aroma w/ hints of earth, pepper, citrus, minerals and even mint. Similar flavors turning to pepper & vegetal punch in the finish. Well made tequila w/ nice oiliness in the glass and mouth. I hear the Manifesto 56 is a special edition that was fermented for 11 days with only natural airborne yeast and bottled at still strength with no extra water added to bring down the proof. Seems to have resulted in big bold flavors. If you can find it, you’ll definitely benefit from trying this high quality tequila.

on the nose: cooked agave, olive, anise, vanilla, and orange (flesh). on the palate: middle of the road mouth feel. not thin, not oily. Flavors include roasted agave, olive again, black pepper, black cherry, and brine. The finish is long, hot, and minty. not my favorite SS/hp, but it's solid.

Cooked agave with some pepper and brine. The reason you’ll see a wide variety of flavors is because this is complex and many raters have a heightened skill set.(aroma/nose/finish) I appreciated the lack of alcohol burn in this high proof. I did pay a touch more in my small town so don’t be dissuaded if you have to spend a few dollars more. It’s worth it.

Aroma notes of spice, pepper, and brine. Minerality comes through in the tasting with a great finish. Definitely a competitor in the high proof market.

Aroma is cooked agave pepper mint citrus and some minerals. The taste is similar with some licorice flavor and good long slightly oily mouthful. Clean and delicious.

Appearance A pristine, crystal-clear blanco with nothing to hide — exactly what you want to see in the glass before the first sip. Aroma The nose opens with a bold, forward agave presence that wastes no time announcing itself. Underneath, a gentle whisper of black pepper adds subtle complexity, while a clean mineral quality keeps everything fresh and inviting. Taste The palate delivers on the promise of the nose. That signature buttery agave character enthusiasts rave about is unmistakably there — soft and rounded rather than sharp. What stands out most is the remarkable purity; this is a remarkably clean spirit where the water quality seems to play as much of a role as the agave itself. Finish Smooth and satisfying, the finish drifts gracefully to the back of the palate and lingers without overstaying its welcome. For anyone warming up to blancos, this is a textbook example of why the category deserves appreciation — the agave expression is at its most honest and unadorned here, without oak or aging to mask what nature put in.

This one tasted better then it smelled. On the nose was agave, mint, minerals, pepper and some grapefruit. The taste was agave, minerals with some anise and citrus with an oily mouthfeel. The finish is long and tasty.

Maybe the best blanco I’ve tasted to date. Love the full mouthfeel and that the finish lingers (seemingly) forever. The pepper is subdued (white) and the agave shines alongside. Perfecto!

First I get Alcohol with notes of white pepper and citrus but the alcohol dissipates rather quickly and it opens up nicely. Taste of agave, pepper with mineral notes and citrus, cinnamon and clove. Finish is medium to long, the agave lingers with some heat. Good balance of flavors!

Tasted this on 5/27/2026 alongside another blanco and 2 repos. I let the pour sit and open up for about 20 min before scoring. Sampled this in a wide, open mouth snifter glass, rather than my typical Glencairn glass. Retasted on 6/2/2026 in a Glencairn glass. Notes updated. Nose: agave, pepper, brine, something slightly sweet too Taste: bold, earthy flavors, minerals, and a little salt Finish: strong and long finish with a fennel / anise vibe, some citrus (lemon)

Nose is cooked agave, pepper, minerals and citrus. Taste is cooked agave, minerals, and pepper. The glass was a Chisholm High Proof Jarrito.

The aroma is subtle but lovely. Very agave-forward with minerals and citrus. The flavor is pure cooked agave wonderfulness with a long lovely smooth finish. It’s hard to believe this is a high proof blanco with how smooth this is.

The nose is spicy, peppery, and cooked agave. I taste pepper and mint (not peppermint, though) and strong agave taste and finish. Alcohol is present, but not overpowering, like some still strength products. 8/10 value at $69.

The agave profile seems more like from the valley more earthy dry and vegetal. I get some floral notes like jasmine it’s very viscous and creamy and long finish. There’s just something different about it. Highly recommend anyone to try it

I think this is the best tequila they’ve ever made. It has everything I love. Lots of depth and complexity, oily mouthfeel, long pleasant finish full of roasted agave. Just awesome.

A good amount of discount shines thru in this one. More of an earthy, vegetal profile in this one with a bit of an alcohol bite.

This is a sleeper, doesn’t drink like a HP, great balance overall. Lot of vegetal and mineral notes.

I’m tight with the Denver distributor of the Trujillo label who introduced me to them, and I honestly think they do know wrong. That said this is my current fave of the portfolio as it’s a flavor bomb that just won’t stop. With a run of just 30K bottled it’s one that I purchase whenever I see it. Conditions: room temp, Glencairn, sitting over an hour. Aroma: I’m reminded of an oceanic floral scent on the nose almost like the famous cologne “Acqua Di Jo” that is balanced with citrus, black pepper, minerality and grapefruit rind. That oceanic element shows as a briny vibe on the nose which gets the saliva glands goin’ I tell ya! Taste: initial sip: oh man…… an explosion of character beginning with the sweet cooked agave, almost rock-candy like as the still strength then creates a wave of peppery spiced balance with the citrus notes and earthiness. The finish is long and languorous with an oily coat that leaves me contemplative and utterly dumbfounded— “how did they get agave to do this” kind of satisfaction. This is the agave nerd’s dream y’all…… an expression that will leave you so very stimulated by layers and layers of flavor. Robbo Booze Bully

Tasted at the distillery. This is their high proof Blanco. The Way They Make It They work with stone and fire, not haste The oven’s heat, the tahona's weight. No cultured yeast to guide the brew, Just wild-born air, and time, and fate. The stills are copper, broad and bold, With fibrous hearts that breathe the steam. And when the fire has had its say, They let it rest, as in a dream. Steel cradles hold it, cool and bright, Till bottled clear, with strength to spare. Yet not a burn, but warmth that stays— A honeyed touch on mountain air. It speaks in scents: of mint and clay, Of blossoms crushed beneath the sun. And tastes of earth, and lemon’s kiss, With pepper sharp, but never one To bite too hard or linger sore— Though strong, it’s kind, and proud, and fair. For what it gives, you'd pay far more In other bottles, other lairs.

Tried this for the first time at Grover’s event at Condesa in Rhode Island. This is legitimately spectacular tequila. An awesome nose of cooked agave sweetness, some pepper and citrus. Very clean. On the palette I got more cooked agave, honey, some herbs with an earthy/mineral finish. Very well done!
