“Nose-agave light caramel sweetness and a cheesy lactic smell. Mouth- mute flavors. light agave, light cheesiness and light pepper. Not a bottle I would sip on. This is for drinks, and 99% percent the bottle was used for cocktails. And it excels for that, 1L bottle for a bargain price. Coming out of 1146 and non additive. Really great deal. ”

Gran Centenario Añejo
“This is a budget tequila. $26 Anejo, I don't think you'll be able to find another anejo at this price without it being diffuser made. Yes, it is JC product and I was apprehensive at first but told myself why not. Nose- Butterscotch, acetone, maple syrup and caramel. Taste- Light agave, light wood, chocolate, light caramel, pepper and light alcohol on the back end. I was really empressed, I can tell it has additives, but it isn't a displeasing taste whatsoever or feel like it was over bearing sweetness. I sipped this and wasn't offended. In fact, I kinda liked it. I would buy again and recommend for someone who wants a budget anejo. This gets 10 points because of the value. 78 Real Rating ”

“On the nose, agave and green fruit , and light caramel. Very sweet aroma. Taste was light cooked agave, unplaced sweetness, then a strong alcohol presence on the finish, which killed it for me. I didn’t have super high hopes, I know it’s mass produced additive tequila, but the aroma got me excited. For the most part, the taste is decent! Just that strong alcohol presence at the end reminds me of vodka. I even let it sit to allow it to open up…no change. So I’ll become a mixer. Definitely not a sipper. Lost points on value as well, $45-50 is in a serious tequila price point. I can get some serious good stuff for that money. Cheers!”

“It got an addition 5 points in value, just because its the best bargain so far in tequila in my eyes. This isn’t the most complex tequila, but what it offers is done amazingly. Nose is agave, caramel, vanilla. And the taste is agave, caramel and light pepper on finish. It’s so balanced and those flavors are executed so well. I was blown away, that a $25 reposado, non additive as well, is so good. I’ve been sipping on it, usually at this price point, it’s just a mixer. I have other expensive tequila to sip on, and this underdog is actually involved in sipping decisions now. Will always have this at my bar now. ”

“Fantastic traditionally made reposado. On the nose I’m getting agave and vanilla bombs with a slight funk. On the tongue, it’s agave forward, an unplaced sweetness(wish it was direct; like caramel or vanilla), citrus/orange peel that is a tad bitter, slight pepper, nice finish. Oak sits on the tongue. Very similar tasting to Fortaleza to me, both of course very similarly made. Fortaleza edges it out , but this is a fantastic alternative if you can’t get your hands on Fortaleza. So if you like traditionally made reposados, this is up your alley.”

Herradura Seleccion Suprema
“2006 bottle, at $400, pricey . But the juice is very good. Nose: vanilla, banana, dried fruits(cherry/raisin), and jack daniels honey Taste: agave, oak, cinnamon, dried fruits again, and touch of whiskey. Lost points on price. Plenty of amazing XA between $130-270 . DeAtano, Tears, El Tesoro, tapatio, etc. But regardless, great stuff , if you decide to buy. ”

123 Organic Tequila Añejo
“Tried during a tasting . Overpriced additive vanilla oak tequila. I did pick up some brown sugar/spice in the flavor. But very faint, mostly vanilla bomb to mask the oak barrel of the anejo. Which I’ve come to find out is very common amongst anejo additive tequilas. They try to cover the barrel taste with additives. Probably why the cristalino segment is a thing now… highly disappointed. ”

123 Organic Tequila Reposado
“Did a tasting of their whole lineup, this is their best expression by far. Additive vanilla forward tequila right from the get go, which was a disappointment. But their best because of the balance on agave, vanilla and oak. Way better reposados at this price point. Don’t see why I would pick this on a shelf full of other great tequilas . ”

123 Organic Tequila Blanco
“Preface: Organic label can be a bit confusing for some. It’s for the procedure during the growth and handling of agave during its lifetime...once it is cut they can do whatever. So the organic label does NOT mean it is non additive. Tried all three expressions during a tasting, all are additive tequila. This is just an fyi, for those that are wondering. On the nose all I got was vanilla and agave. Taste was agave, heavy vanilla, and finished with a bitter citrus peel. Highly disappointed, tasted like any other additive vanilla forward tequila on the market. ”

Tres Agaves Blanco (Organic)
“Great bargain tequila, non additive agave forward tequila with a bite for $20. Perfect for cocktails at home. Getting agave, citrus, nutmeg:cinnamon on the nose (which is a first for me) and agave, citrus and pepper for taste. You can sip on it, that’s how I reviewed this, it isn’t offensive at all. But I have plenty of amazing sippers. So I would keep this on the bar for shots/cocktails. Amazing value for the tequila. Higher score for value . Big fan . Cheers !”

“Good repo at the price point. On the nose, I got agave, lemon peel, and green apple. Taste was agave green fruit, and slight pepper. I also get a weird chemical taste. I can’t seem to place it. Decent for cocktails/shots. I wouldn’t sip on this. ”

ArteNOM Seleccion de 1146 Añejo
“This is what anejo’s should be. Amazing sipper for a nightcap. Nose: cookedagave, dried fruit, sweet berry, spice brown sugar and caramel Taste: whiskey vibes(bourbon), cooked agave, leather, caramel, slight sweetness like a sherry, dried fruit. Great mouthfeel and incredibly smooth . Lingering flavors on the tongue. Wow. Such a complex expression, yet executed perfectly. I will always have a bottle of this at my bar. Beautiful ”
More info →“On the nose I’m getting a sherry bomb, leather, raisins/dried fruits . The taste is very potent, might have to water down, the sherry is a bit overwhelming. Has all the flavors I smelt plus oak. The agave is hidden, you’ll get some here and there . I just wish they balanced the sherry and agave better. I personally wouldn’t buy again, it’s cool to have as a unique limited edition on the bar. Or to buy as a gift. Update: Now that I sip on this in a cocktail glass with ice, it's fantastic. Just needed a little watering down. I will continue to purchase ”
