“Another great offering from Montagave. Sweet with heat and a medium fruity finish with almost a raspberry taste. Must be the wine barrels. Agave shines thru. Highly recommended. ”

“Well balanced with agave, citrus and some pepper. Nose is clean and sweet. Finish has a bite but just a little. Flavor doesn’t last long on the finish but it is very enjoyable and highly recommended. ”

“Good nose and taste is complex with agave, sweetness and fruit upfront. Finish was on the sweet side with little burn (missing by my taste). A re-buy for me and recommended. ”

“Agave is a bit overwhelmed by the cinnamon, baking spice, oak, vanilla, caramel, nutty flavor but this is an exceptional flavor experience. A sip and think type of tequila. NOM 1614 ”

“Clean agave nose with vegetal and earthy notes. Taste was sweet agave with mint and a little citrus. Finish had a little heat but smoothed out with a pleasant oily texture. Excellent for the price. ”

“Sweet agave with a touch of grass and vegetal nuance on the nose. Taste is smooth with mint, bit of citrus and a little heat. Sweet finish with a musty minerality to it. Very good choice. ”

“Rated as a mixer. Because sometimes you need a margarita. My favorite budget tequila for this cocktail. Cooked agave shines thru. Great value. ”

“Nose is fair same as everything else in this bottle. Flavor is mixed sweetness and cooked agave. A last resort sipper. Prob good mixer. ”

“Just cracked a bottle of Lot 134. Simple agave and spice nose. Flavor subdued. Cinnamon and maybe a bit of anise. Dont believe it has opened up yet. Finish was poor compared to the blanco, anjeo and still. I will let the bottle sit a while and try again. I suspect it will improve and will adjust my score as necessary. Adding points. Last third of bottle was fantastic. ”

“Nothing enjoyable about this bottle. Mixer when I am out of other mixers. Bad bottle? ”

“Very pleasant nose leads to taste of minerals, fresh agave and fruit. Finish was the weak part. Not bad but didnt call for another sip as urgently as other blancos do. Loses a bit on value. But a solid choice. ”

“Bland nose but the flavor is sweet agave that is so easy to drink. Pepper, vegetal background and agave thru and thru. Finish was short and spicy. Makes me look forward to tasting the tahona version. ”

“A bit of a perfume-like taste. Nose is ok but complex without clear aromas; mixed and disappointing. Finish is the best part; some burn but bright agave. Overall not a great value imo. ”

“ The most delicate and complex blanco I have tasted. And the finish begins with a sweetness that mixes with fresh minerality and smooths out over the long experience. And all for $50?? ”

“Great nose and taste. Agave and fruit. Finish was the weaker element. A bit of off -flavored sweetness at the end. Still very much recommended. Great value too. ”

“Great nose and even better taste. Many sweet flavors including butterscotch, maple and baking spice. Even a bit of citrus, but the agave is not overwhelmed. Slightly better than the Repo, which is a bargain as well. Medium finish with slight burn. Nicely done. ”

“Bit of alcohol on the nose with some earthy notes. Barrel influence is in the taste with some sweetness that takes the edge off the burn. Reasonably good value. ”

“Mildly enhanced by the barrel but good nose and a sweet, vibrant and easy taste with a surprising burn at the end. Light expression by color but flavor is agave plus fruit. ”

“Sweet taste of vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, cinnamon dominate with agave hanging in there for the ride. A little pepper spice in there too. Nose is not extravagant but very complex and satisfying. Overall easy to enjoy and worth a try even if the price tag is somewhat out of whack. ”
